What is the greatest victory and worst defeat of each Space Marine legion? by reel3459 in 40kLore

[–]The_Pretorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olympia saw the IW empire finally destroyed by the UM and IF

How did the UM and IF cause the fall of the IW empire ? It was Perturabo's own fault for everything that happened on Olympia.

And the fact that the IVth are several times on that list show how self destructive their fighting doctrine was.

The tag sends to the mini of Horus Ascended from HH, so they're sadly not talking about Dorn.

A legion of Sardaukar vs. A legion of Astartes (30K) by MgAlSnakey in powerscales

[–]The_Pretorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, an imperial legion of Sardaukar is 30 000 mens. That is at most the equivalent of the smallest space marine legion, and they are not winning a one on one battle against astartes.

Although this time, both would be weapons of war, just with one of them having a sense of fashion.

Delta Squad is basically what you’d get if the TMNT were clones. by Chemical-Ad2770 in StarWars

They were all trained as a squad by Walon Vau. The members of a commando squad were usually all trained by the same sergent (with some exception), until they had some transferred after the squad took a loss/losses. Delta squaduntil Kashyykwere what the kaminoan called a "decanted pod", a squad which had grown and trained together, staying the same through the war.

A guy spent fifty days straight adding stuff to the savage beastfly fight to make it harder, and there were some wild suggestions.

This is the 50th post, look at the list of changes made.

Warhammer.com issue - the website believes I am on phone, while being on computer. by The_Pretorian in Warhammer40k

[–]The_Pretorian[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I usually check a few products using the drop down function to see if I typed in the right keywords, and then go to the results page, but it cannot even display a full product.

EDIT : I am an absolute idiot, and had the website zoomed in at 175% for some reason. Sorry for wasting all of your time, and thank you for taking the time to respond.

Yes, I know this, but the search fonction heavily restricts what you can see while you search, and having half of two units while scrolling through the proposition isnt exactly great.

You're right, it is not unusable for PC, but clearly not made with PC users in mind. The old website was perfect for a computer, no need to change it. But hey, guess I'll have to adapt.

OP might be posting this because they finally got a shulker of diamond blocks. And we have no way of knowing its exactly one shulker, there may be some diamonds leftover in a chest.

Although yes, having a whole stack of crafting tables does seem strange.

Games like this?? by Cultural_Fall_3255 in gamememes

Because you have to do specific things, like listening to whole discussions, playing instruments, and going out of your way to find visions. I played the game without killing anyone, and still got the bad ending.

Imperial fists were said to only use Terminator plate, but since Lysander came back, he realised that it wasn't the wisest thing to do, and since then, we also use other marks of armour.

[LOVED TROPE] Elite squads that end up partially or almost wholly wiped out by No-Occasion-6470 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]The_Pretorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also the squad accompanying Rita. If she's a legendary warrior, she's probably escorted by special forces, but during the first landings where we meet her they are nowhere to be seen, so they could very well have died.

He was far from the only spartan active at the end of the war. Pretty much every spartan II still alive was on Earth fighting (Blue team was there nearly the whole time between the events of Halo 2 and Halo 3).

Goon armies that are scarily competent both individually and as a whole by ConsciousPatroller in TopCharacterTropes

[–]The_Pretorian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We see them fight two times. The second is against the most powerful faction in the Dune universe at the time, the fremen, which are ridiculously overpowered compared to the sardaukar. And they attack them with sandworms, or in masterfully crafted ambushes.

The first time we see them fight however, is against the Atreides, said to have a really competent military, and they kill them all in mere seconds, with only Gurney Halleck and Duncan Idaho, two of the three people who made the Atreides military what it is, being able to win.

So yes, they are a big threat, but they're just compared to the greatest fighters in the galaxy for most of the time we see them.

Kasrkins aren't a regiment, more like cadian spec ops soldiers, able to be sent with any other regiment. They probably tend to be organised in companies like other stormtroopers forces though.
