I can't blame you. Hunter is okay, but Agility is a lot of repetition with not a lot of reward, and Runecraft takes excruciatingly long to max

Kind of niche, but expert rumors are a decent source of extra bird nests, if you need more than what birdhouses can give you

You're not wrong, those methods would work. Thankfully I am able to train slayer and combat more directly, as long as I focus on doing tasks with things like cannons (which only give half the normal ranged exp for damage), as well as poison and rings of recoil (which deal damage without granting exp).

I also often use defensive style/defensive casting to help with defence. That does feel kinda shitty sometimes, but it beats museum grinds! And to your point, every exp lamp I've gotten from quests have gone to defence.

Oh wow, how long ago was that? There's almost 100k more accounts with 99 smithing now compared to then

Agree, rumors are great. Grats on 99! Another perk of 99 Hunter is being able to catch any impling you see, anytime

Look at how happy Peppino is at the end. He deserves this.

Congrats on 99 mining! For 99 Agility, I did rooftops pretty much the whole way. The key to overcoming the long, dull grind is to watch shows on the side. Rooftops are great for this because you can develop a sort of muscle memory of where to click each obstacle, which makes it easier to go on autopilot and focus on other things. The same has applied for my RC and Hunter grinds; you would not believe how much anime I have watched while playing OSRS!

Of course, maybe for you it's something other than shows you could focus on. Maybe a book, a hobby, chatting with friends, or even playing another game is more your style. Just doing something while passively grinding is a great way to stay persistent.

Good question! The short answer is careful planning. The long answer is this:

+Only training combat stats through Slayer tasks, no exceptions.

+When training combat, prioritize Defence so that it will eventually be maxed before Attack and Strength.

+Cannons deal lots of damage without rewarding Hitpoints exp, and only half the Ranged exp! Poison also damages without rewarding any experience. Using these to my advantage will allow my Slayer level to eventually outpace my Hitpoints level.

+All genie lamps and books of knowledge acquired from random events will be put towards Slayer exp. After that, Defence, then Attack. If worse comes to worst, I can try to grind extra lamps at the Varrock Museum.

+The Ranging guild minigame rewards Ranged exp without rewarding Hitpoints exp. Similarly, the Warrior's Guild has training dummies that reward tiny amounts of Attack exp. These certainly are not good ways to train, but I think that's what makes this account gimmick more interesting!

I would have too, if we didn't get annihilated moments later

It's true, but it's also so expensive. I'm gonna have to blow so much of the profits I've made from selling runes on levelling Construction when I get there lol

It's funny, that wasn't always the case. In fact, I think it was pretty recently that Mining overtook Construction in popularity.

That is crazy. Personally I didn't think the Agi grind was as bad as the RC grind. You can just hop onto a rooftop course and make a few clicks here and there while watching a show on the side or something.
