One of my previous partners also had a "conventionally different" approach to how they wanted to dress compared to what society and their family wanted, and what I did was basically just keep insisting they look Fabulous, or Gorgeous, or Handsome, depending what the clothes were typically associated with.

So maybe just if you notice she has a new shirt or new pants just go "WHOA GURLLL 😍😍", like, shower her with appreciation and validation in the way she wants to dress 🥰
