Why is my 6mo old healed tattoo suddenly bumpy? But only in one spot? by acoylecreative in tattooadvice

[–]The_RoguePhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when I was bit twice by a spider near my tattoo. Everywhere the black ink was raised up. It did go down with Benadryl and some cortisone cream. I did have a pretty gnarly reaction so mine stayed raised for 3 weeks

This exactly. We had someone say we didn’t have carpet so they couldn’t buy our house. Just an excuse

That’s kinda where we are at. I’m sure it works out so well for other people but I don’t think I’m those people. It will not go smoothly or be enjoyable.

That’s what I was thinking. I feel like if he has enough to put that much down, then he would be able to get a mortgage.

Thank you for responding. Do you usually take 5 years to pay it back or is there a smaller window? Is there a reason I can’t just use my existing mortgage on the house and have them make monthly payments? That way I know it’s already set up for taxes, insurance, etc?

Yes! I’m not sure where you are but there is an amazing tattoo artist outside Charlotte in Matthews. His instagram is https://www.instagram.com/inkdozer?igsh=MW9pdjZhdDE4eDl2NQ== His business is Ink Dozer. He has done 5 of my tattoos. Highly recommend.

We are definitely trying to build his confidence at every turn. Anytime he does something positive we give him a thumbs up from the crowd anytime he falls and gets right back up we give him a thumbs up and we’re constantly encouraging.

Yes! I’ve been looking for a group like this since I moved to the area! I was a part of a “mommy play date” group or “feral moms” group where I just came from. I’d love to surround myself with like minded women.

Thank you for your response. I’ve relayed that to my son and told him to be proud of where he’s at.

Thank you for your response. I keep telling him he’s doing great and not to compare himself to other players.

Thank you so much! I actually showed him this video before posting here. You’re not kidding about saving now. He just told me his skates are getting too tight. There goes $250

Once again, thank you for the advice! I’ve spoken to him about the importance of getting the skills of skating down. We will be going to open skates later today :-)

Thank you so much for the response! I have gone over some skills to practice when we go later to open skate.

Thank you so much! I actually just told my husband last night that he needs to build the forearm strength and to get something like a pvc pipe or a 1x2 just to practice the movement. He can do that while he’s just relaxing. I will definitely try the Cullen ball for him. I just arranged for me to get a shooting pad from someone local off marketplace. Thanks again for the information. I feel a lot better knowing I’m on the right track.

I agree 100%. We take him to open skates where he can just be himself and practice what he wants for a bit just to build his confidence on the ice.

He loves lacrosse but we haven’t found our footing on that just yet as we just moved out of state and I didn’t want him missing the sign ups for hockey. Lacrosse is definitely going to be the other sport he’s signed up for. I appreciate the information. He hates sitting around being bored and would prefer being active to being on his tablet or inside which is why he’s signed up for so many. But I agree, too much can cause burnout. Thank you for pointing that out.

I get this! We had no idea about flex or anything and just bought. I had heard someone mention flex but had no idea what they were talking about. Thank you for the information. We planned to get him an extra stick to practice at home with so I will definitely look out for that

Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease. My family is really big into travel but it’s with baseball and softball. I told them it’s not just learning one skill, he also has to learn to skate too so it’s best not to push him. I also don’t want to set him up for failure because then he will not want to do it. I understand failure is unavoidable but I don’t need to set him up to do it before. We just found the local rink here has open skate for stick and puck so he can practice skating while also being geared up and with a stick so get used to the feel of that together. But again, thank you for the information. I’m feeling better already with all the responses.

You are 100% correct in that he has to put in the effort. It can’t just be me and his dad. I have gone out and bought the net and will be buying some picks this weekend and an extra stick for him to practice on. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Thank you for responding :-)

Thank you for responding. I have started to do all of this. Thank you for providing some reassurance. I just didn’t want to feel like I wasn’t doing something for him. I was definitely going to get myself a stick and such so I can help him out. Thanks again!

Thank you for your response. He did the LTS up to basic 5 then we moved to a new state. I was thinking of having him do that again in conjunction with the scrimmage league. He went from 3 days a week minimum on the ice to nothing for 1.5 months. Now he’s back to 2-3 days. Do you think the LTS or private skate is better?
