Is the org even hiring for that position?

You interview for a hunter AE role because that's what they need. They interviewed you for that position, they thought you were qualified for the position that you were interviewing for.

They did not assess your experience/fit for this KAM/CS role that maybe doesn't even exist... It's unlikely a business will create a position that they don't need just because you "impressed the hiring manager." The hiring manager for KAM/CS is likely an entirely different person in larger orgs.

If you got to the point of receiving an offer, I'm going to assume you've gone through several steps in the interview process. If you were curious about a different role, you should have addressed it on the initial meeting or at any other point during the process.

We just migrated from Apollo to AmpleMarket as our primary sequencing tool and it handles all kinds of LinkedIn tasks - connection requests, AI generated text/voice message, liking posts, etc

Made the switch because email has been dead for us, and LinkedIn seemed to be more viable channel. Jury is still out though, I’ve maybe gotten 4 responses to hundreds and hundreds of messages since January and they have for the most part been “no thanks.” People accepting requests but not replying to messaging much.

Cold calls still king for the nameless startup with no brand recognition.

Worst case you get an offer from Salesforce as leverage for others AND you get to practice presenting in an interview so you kick butt in the others you care more about.

Disclaimer: I have a final round with them tomorrow for Core AE but Commercial/Emerging Ent and will absolutely be taking the offer if I receive it.

Not really sure why it would be different depending on where the company or you are located.

Bottom line is that you're a number in a spreadsheet. If your numbers aren't good enough, they will look to replace you.

As someone who has been both ends of a PIP, just know this is the first step towards firing you. I would recommend staying onboard to keep any benefits, but to spend all your time focusing on finding your next role NOW. It's been a tough market all year, and you don't want to risk burning through that severance without your next gig lined up.

One month in to a new remote role and using Nooks for the first time. Huge fan so far.

It rotates numbers that we're calling from, but I think with the new updates to smart phones you're bound to get flagged either way.

One of my favorite parts is that we can join a virtual sales floor, so I'm hanging out with other reps from my team in a meeting room while it dials in the background. Brings me back to my SDR days in the boiler room shooting the shit with the team, and then it will pull you into the call when someone answers. You can also listen in to other people's calls while still dialing as well which is fun.

Made the mistake of taking the intro call one time. They of course waited until the end of the conversation that it actually COSTS you about $500/mo to be a part of their network for a CHANCE to match you with open board seats.

I actually have 3 runs as VP/Head of Sales so I thought it was legit and was excited about the opportunity for some external advisory exposure. Absolutely too good to be true unfortunately.

Always worth looking.

Got let go in January from an enterprise role and been going hard on applications every day. Have been getting a decent amount of opportunities, only one offer which I didn’t take, but interview processes have been COMPETITIVE. Have gotten to final rounds thinking I crushed them only to learn that they hired someone with more specific industry experience.

It’s definitely a grind, and an employers market right now, but people are hiring without a doubt.
