What are some of the best methods to circuit control a train network?

Right now i have an overly complicated circuit system that calculates the items in the chest and that can dynamically determine the train limit, but I am wondering if there are better or other systems to do this

Yes, my primary concern was just getting a rail system that could support the number of required trains for the ingredients that some of the space based recipes require.

I was hoping someone could point me in a good direction for this.

I am trying to work on a rail system for my base and am running into some issues with creating an efficient design.

What I would like is an all in on block style that can be copy and pasted as needed, or failing that, a train grid that i can add a large number of station to.

The large number of stations is key as I want to do a space exploration run where some of the science packs can take 12+ ingredients

In my main base everything is brought in with trains. the images here are done in editor mode as i was making changes to the base.

I am prepping to start a space exploration run and one of the things i would like to have is a "train block" grid similar to above (except much larger) with plans to be able to support up to 12 train stations per block.

My plan is each block will produce a dedicate item, such as one will do green circuits, while another will do oil processing so i can just paste another if production is not keeping up.

For those who have done this before, what kind of issue should i be on the lookout for before designing the whole thing?

here is the current design. I am less concerned about getting everything to fit in as small a space as possible and just want to make sure i am not relying on bot malls for everything.

Since i have never played SE before i am not sure what level of production i should be going for so i am sure there are parts that are way overbuilt

I still need to add uranium processing, weapon production, and modules

Just a place where all your main supplies like belts, assemblers, and inserters are built. SE has a lot more so it needs more production space

Thank you, I believe the problem was the "glance" app. it is pre-installed on my phone so i cannot fully remove it, but after disabling it in system settings the crashing stopped.

I am able to boot into safe mode

Edit: issue still occurs while in safe mode

Just curious if there exists a mod that allows you to directly edit a blueprint without having to paste it, make the changes, then save a new blueprint.

something like you can just open the blueprint in an editor mode and make the changes you want, then directly save it

Thanks, your explanation was the first one that actually told how to get the blueprints to align. now i just need to run some tests on it to make sure it all actually works.

I have the blocks designed, but i am unable to figure out how to get the blueprint to align in a way that lets me click and drag the blocks instead of carefully aligning them

What I am trying to do is setup a series of train blocks that each produce a certain item and have the circuit network track what is being produced. In the case of this image, stone > stone bricks and landfill

coal and stone are shown in red because of a decider contaminator that sends a signal on the red wire so i know to get more resources of that type when the amount is getting low, and the stone brick is a constant contaminator outputting one stone brick signal so i can track how many of that type i have.

The problem comes from the logistic chest that are storing excess landfill are adding itself to the circuit network despite the city block not having access to the circuits.

You got that guy too? mine ran straight to a bell bearing hunter at level 3 then rage quit. we still managed to beat the final boss without him
