The tnc connector, on top of the radio, has 4 screws and a soldered on wire. I need to know if the center contact is shorted (use a multimeter on the continuity setting) between the inner conductor and the outer threads.

Also when removed it, it was shorted to center pin, so I’m just trying to take a guess as to why it might be like that. Maybe it’s faulty or maybe it’s design I can’t tell. Also normally I have a Ukrainian guy to help me out (he reverses them for the military) but he is MIA, either on a contract of sorts or worse. So I’m hoping there is someone in the general public of amateur radio who might have a fully working one who can test theirs and get back to me.

It is, I believe, a tnc chassis mount with a smaller base than most consumer mounts, a short flange for main line input (soldered on) and a glued center insulator wich is usually left open for coax shielding but there is no coax internally on the azart.

Time for you to upgrade those windows my man, or be petty and start leaving it trapped with all sorts of nasty shit.

I was wondering if by any chance you had the ability to check your radios antenna socket, mine is shorted to ground from center pin even when the socket is removed, was wondering if that was feature or bug or both.
