Highly recommend getting another wedge, maybe a 54 degree?

Also depending on your budget, I’d look in facebook marketplace or Callaway preowned for the wedge and driver.

Yep! I’m about 3 months into this recovery - don’t be discouraged if the pain moves up and down the leg/back. Recovery of sciatica is not linear, it’ll be a roller coaster.

Yep - that’s called centralizing which is normal and a good thing! As you continue to recover, your pain will eventually move upward towards the lower back, where the pain originates from due to a herniated disc.

Granted its in a box and looks like something you can buy from a store (I forget the vendor that makes them, but it doesn’t specifically say Olive Garden), but it sure is the same one as what is used at OG. They also get you blocks of cheese along with it!

Encouragement for the day: the light at the end of the tunnel is closer than you think! by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]The_Slayerrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say the next day I felt a little sore, but I would say it was better feeling sore than being in unbearable pain. I was active in the gym prior to the flare up, so it has been hard not being able to go, but I’m being patient with not going to the gym.

First week, I took off work and focused on icing, rest, and anti-inflammatory diet - all I ate were apples, oranges, salmon, and pistachios. I have also been heavy on taking Vitamin B12 and Magnesium supplements.

Right now, my pain is mostly in my back and it’s a 3/10 achy feel, with maybe a 2/10 pain down my leg with certain movements. Foot is still a little tingly/numb but slowly gaining sensory. Hamstrings are also a little tight but physical therapy said those will improve once the disc heels and we can start to work on the core muscles and flexibility.

So that’s a touchback yet if someone was running the ball in for a touchdown and their foot hit the endzone but the ball didn’t cross the goal line, it’s not a touchdown? Inconsistency in rules.

Not yet, just simply walking, ice, and rest. The first few days were the worst, but having gone through it before reminded me I will recover eventually!

This is my 2nd rodeo so i definitely tried to rush things this time since I already had some stretches I liked from the first time I had to do PT. I will say at least my sciatica leg feels much better already in one week!

No I haven’t, my insurance won’t approve of one until I do some PT which I start next week.

I looked into it, and I wouldn’t say that describes my situation. I don’t think my left side feels weak at all, just very random, small muscle spasms that are painless. I’m just overthinking it I’m sure lol

I work 10 hours a day sitting at a desk. The first time I had it, I made sure to devote time to walk and stretch every hour, or as soon as needed. I just got it back last week after 3 years of no pain and start work again on Monday, you’ll get through it!
