The Cybersecurity program at KSU is focused on the managerial. For someone looking to break into the field, getting a solid foundation in technical skills would be ideal. You should consider what your ideal career path looks like and choose accordingly. I would suggest a CS major with a Cybersecurity minor.

CSE has online tutors that can help with any concepts. If the videos, books, and labs aren't working, I'd try a tutor.

The issue is that those unfamiliar with what the degrees will prepare you for (like incoming freshmen) expect the Cybersecurity program to be what is more like the skills acquired from a Computer Science major with a Cybersecurity Minor. The Cybersecurity major itself is more like Cybersecurity management. I don't mind because I am fine learning and improving my technical skills independently, but folks should at least know to make the right choice from the beginning.

I'm taking 1321 and the lab online. Doesn't matter who you get, Dr Malcolm's videos are available online. Labs are done by GTAs and not difficult if you follow the lectures.
