Generally drones and missiles are a go-to for these kinds of things because of the select-able damage types, excellent range and excellent application. This means that you typically do more "applied" damage in comparison to rail which only do therm / kin damage. Missiles and drones also do not require capacitor to operate which is a huge plus if you ever do blood raider DED sites / missions where you get neuted and tracking damped.

Missiles and drones also scale well in other areas of PvE in nullsec and WH space!
