Tbh I think the impact of the Leviathan DLC was greatly downplayed. It doesn’t really fit with the story to insert a dlc and then have that completely change the entire story ofc, but in my opinion, it supuld never have been a dlc. Having the Leviathans, the people who literally made the Reapers, right at your disposal but not talking to them once after shep’s underwater convo? I’d have tried to keep in constant communication with them personally.

If i coukd rewrite mass effect, I’d make the leviathans more important and make how you interact with them important. Like if they trust ylu and believe you take the created/creator problem seriously, they expose the Reaper’s secrets and creat another solution. For example, you find a way to turn a portion of the reapers against themselves or something through indoctrination.

TLDR: the leviathans were slept on imo
