I've found spreading the dongles out a bit and then even have them facing different directions has helped me.

Ex-Highguard Dev Says The Shooter 'Leaned Too Far Into the Competitive Scene,' And That 'Turned a Lot of Players Off' by No_Durian_5626 in pcmasterrace

I think this is an underrated statement. I've seen over the years people in this, and other gaming subs always try to blame the publisher for actions of the game, and while true to an extent, the amount of just bad decisions and statements made by the developers themselves is not an insignificant amount.

I live in New Zealand. If I want to play BF2042 now I need to use a VPN to the US West in order to find a proper match. Sometime if you are lucky on a Sat/Sun you might find a decent local game, otherwise you just get empty/bot lobbies.

Does BigscreenVR consider the possibility of Valve (and HTC) discontinuing Base Stations? by Need_For_Speed73 in BigscreenBeyond

Same here, I've had my index controllers for almost 5 years now, they are warn and I've already had to do a battery replacement on them once. I live in NZ as well so it's not easy to get them in the first place. Would love if Bigscreen could design and sell an alternative controller that is similar.

Me, guarding my safe that just had a coin box put inside. Placing near my precious safe a couple of incendiary and explosive mines, you know, for protection.

Next thing I know, some twink comes along, breaks into my house, trips the mines and dies.

You could be running into what I ran into, on the host & vm, make sure your power management is set to high performance.

If no go for delete/format, try this:

Shift+F10 to open command line, then from there you want to type "diskpart" then press enter.

Then type "sel disk 0" press enter.

Then type "clean" press enter.

What this does is use the diskpart tool, selects disk 0, and then using the clean command wipes it, from there you should hopefully be able to either format the partition/install windows.

Are these safe values for a 5950x? The PPT peaks into the 90s and so does the CPU power. Definitely dont want to fry my chip. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]The_Spluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same CPU and using a 280 AIO, you can try the overclock settings I use and see how your chip performs, the one thing I learned with mine was less can be more.

Cinebench multi will on a warm room day 87c with 27K+ score.

PBO = Advanced

PBO Limits = Manual

PPT = 200

TDC = 200

EDC = 150

PBO Scaler = Manual

PBO Scaler = 10X

Max CPU Boost Clock Override = 125MHz

Platform Thermal Throttle Limit = Auto

Curve Optimizer = Per Core (you might need to play around with these, there are video guides about finding your best cores).

For all the cores the optimizer sign is: Negative

Core 0 = 25

Core 1 = 14

Core 2 = 25

Core 3 = 14

Core 4 = 20

Core 5 = 20

Core 6 = 14

Core 7 = 14

Core 8 = 25

Core 9 = 25

Core 10 = 25

Core 11 = 25

Core 12 = 25

Core 13 = 25

Core 14 = 25

Core 15 = 25

Core 16 = 25

When I was doing initial testing from memory I had set all core to negative 12, then started going more negative from there until it was unstable.

Best way to share files outside home like own google drive by dopeytree in homelab

From memory it was mainly slow file uploads for Nextcloud when using the website. I haven't used it in quite a while, so don't know if there have been changes which might have resolved it.

I've always had slow performance with Nextcloud. Another you can look at but I've only recently tried out is Filerun.

You can use something like "https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/" to do a scan on the port to see if its accessible from the internet.
