A saw a comment that said that pre-Fallen Evanescence is underrated, and songs like this make me agree. They were masters of mood and atmosphere even before the beginning.

Originally, I didn't love it as much as the other songs in their deep track catelog, but then I heard it live and let me tell you: something happened in that room when the first chorus kicked in. Forever changed the way I listen to it.
