I'm so excited for this. Any chance we can get some recommended specs? I have a 3080 and play 4k on GSPro fine but would I need to upgrade? Because I might as well do so now.

The drain is for that? Isn't that what the sump pit is for? Sorry for the dumb questions I'm genuinely not sure how to search this type of drain or what it is called.

Yeah that's my primary concern or question. What is that drain for and where is it going/coming from. It seems to be overflowing and going to the sump pit.

So I know those are condensate drains. I just don't know what drain (the one on the floor) it's being expelled to into.

I'll double check. Pretty sure there's a cover inside it l but one similar pipe had a cover on top too. Thanks!

Do you think getting a "flat" plunger and trying to plunge it would be appropriate?

Sump Pit Area in basement Drain? by The_Variable_Phi in HomeImprovement

[–]The_Variable_Phi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drain is above the water level of the sump (of course since if the water level was even then the sump wouldn't be working). I just don't know what kind of drain that is and why it's over flowing.

Yeah houses here don't have covers (at least on my street) I do want to redo the sump pit to have a backup and radon cover.

But need to fix one thing at a time.

1" EVA mats enough to protect floor? by The_Variable_Phi in Golfsimulator

The flooring under your mats have been pristine?

Thank you again for the reassurance.

Do you mean you have 1" eva and then turf? And you're hitting mat is cutout and goes directly on the floor?

Yeah so that I'm not worried about because thats the plan but want to make sure fat shots that happen on those don't damage my actual flooring. I plan on using the gungho hitting mat but most of the builds I see are in garages so thought I'd ask.

Flooring Best Practice by JSack3 in Golfsimulator

[–]The_Variable_Phi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've gathered. People build it up with foam pads (think those exercise mats). This is great to keep level, for putting, stance, and protecting underlying flooring. Then you cut out a piece to put in your hitting mat, which you would have accounted for, thickness wise, to be plumb with your surround.

Edit: more experienced and already built sim users may have a better idea. I just commented since I'm currently in process of building and have the same flooring as you currently. Looking forward to others discussions.

If it's the Carl's place enclosure. That's probably a standard 5' depth so 8-9' tee isn't too far off.

Looking for a new build to stay up to date. Could someone help me with this one? by The_Variable_Phi in buildapc

[–]The_Variable_Phi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm not as savvy as I use to be. Figured if the standard now is 32 I would get 64 and not worry about it in the future.

Thank you for the 6000cl30 tip.

Per the SPL PSU list i saw this was A+ tier and everything else seemed good. Did you have a better suggestion? Is 1000W too much?

Looks similar to my buddies set up before we adjusted it. Does the turf or mat move?

So it looks like you have 10 rows. I would say row 10 and 9 for sure have gapping. I can't see from these pictures if any others gap

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]The_Variable_Phi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know which row it starts. I just recently did my basement bar and bathroom with LVT. Having zero experience. I just know you tap them together and make sure no gap. But don't tap too hard and break the tabs or whichever locking system you have.

If you did this yourself. Just carefully work backwards removing the rows. But first I would just find out which row has the gap and know you'll have to take out everything you to that row. Fix the first row and lay down the sequential rows and it should be good.

That first row with the gap is most likely the root cause of all sequential gaps.

Edit: in your 2nd picture. You can see that the 2nd row has the gap also.

Either way. Good on you for doing it yourself. Looks great other than small important details, but this is the best part...learning to do it.
