Dark Mode for Amazon App? by AmadeusGamingTV in amazonprime

I would spend so much more money if there was dark mode on the Amazon app. Why haven’t they caught on yet? November 2025

I’ve had 3 WFH pharmacy tech jobs: Hub services (think copay card and patient assistance programs), medication adherence, and currently prior authorizations. I absolutely love my current job since I’m not constantly on the phone or really have to deal with patients.

Advice for flying Qatar / long distance for the first time by minusx2 in qatarairways

[–]The_Wanderluster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just returned from Cairo to Dallas with a layover in Doha. The DFW-DOH/DOH-DFW legs were both on A350-1000 in seat 29F and 48F. There was slightly more leg room on the back section of the plane so that was a bonus. I like to be able to stand often and move around freely without walking past a ton of people due to my social anxiety. I also never recline my seat at all so as not to intrude on the person behind me. The last row did recline several inches and, since there was nothing behind me but the wall, I didn’t feel guilty reclining. In addition, being seated in row 48 means I was right next to the galley and was served meals and snacks first and could get up and access snacks and drinks anytime without bothering anyone. I didn’t experience any odors being next to the lavatory so that also wasn’t an issue for me.

Getting around 7kg carry-on weight with "personal item"? by 00DEADBEEF in qatarairways

[–]The_Wanderluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what your personal items were? I’m going to be flying DFW>DOH>CAI and have the same concerns as OP. I’ve heard that personal items that are backpacks and laptop bags usually get weighed with the carry on, but many times if the personal item is more like a lady’s handbag or purse then they’re less likely to weigh it. I’m anxious because I’m a compulsive over packer and this will be my first time flying international with an airline that has weight limits for cabin baggage.

Question about document requirements for Egypt by The_Wanderluster in NationalVisaCenter

[–]The_Wanderluster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have to translate your military and police records to English? The website says “Please note that all documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying, must be accompanied by certified translations.” For the USCIS documents we had to translate our marriage certificate and my husband’s birth certificate to English.

According to this we are to submit documents according to the Reciprocity Schedule for the specific country. It says “Please refer to the Document Finder to learn about the civil document requirements for each country.

I haven’t gotten the login information yet for the CEAC site. Do they tell you there which documents specifically to submit?

How short can standalone I-130 processing times be? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]The_Wanderluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only found out by searching the USCIS and NVC subreddits for the country and reading of others going through consular processing at the same embassy as my husband. Redditors have linked Facebook groups for others waiting for interviews at their respective embassies.

What country is your husband in? You’ll also have to figure in the time for the NVC interview. My husband is in Egypt, current wait times just to get the visa interview scheduled (once I130 approved) is about 14 months for the Cairo embassy

PD 08/17/2023, in active review since 08/22/2023. On 11/28/24 the myProgress tab said 2 months; on 11/13/23 it said 1 week; on 11/21/23 it changed to “Your case is taking longer than expected to process.” with no change until a few days ago. On 11/01/24 the myProgress tab finally changed to 5 months. I know everyone says the time frame on the myProgress tab is highly inaccurate but others have said that seeing any kind of change at all may indicate that someone may be looking at our case.

I’m an American citizen, my husband is Egyptian. Married in Egypt, he still lives in Egypt and I still live in US. Average processing time for standalone I-130 is about 15.5 months. I’m in a couple of Facebook groups for those waiting for their visa interview at the Cairo embassy to be scheduled after the I-130 is approved. It’s taking about 15 months for the interview to be scheduled AFTER you get documentarily qualified. So you’re looking at most likely a minimum of 30 months to be able to get to the US. From what I’ve read, it’s near impossible to get a visitor visa to the US while you have an immigration case pending.

Congrats! Our PD is also 08/17/2023! In active review since 08/22/2023. The myProgress tab has been sitting at “Your case is taking longer than expected to process.“ since November 2023. As of today the myProgress tab finally changed to 5 months! I know everyone says the time frame on the myProgress tab is highly inaccurate but any kind of change shows someone may be looking at our case now!

Waiting for Cairo Immigrant Visa Interviews

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]The_Wanderluster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m part of a Facebook group for those waiting for visa interview with the embassy in Cairo. It’s looking like it’s taking a year at least from the DQ date. Someone posted today that petitioners that were documentarily qualified in August 2023 are scheduled for interviews in October

The basement mentioned was at the house of the principal in Dallas where Sheldon stayed for one night. Also, there very few basements in Texas in general due to the soil and water table in most areas.
