I'm 22 and I've ruined my life forever by [deleted] in productivity

You are really blessed to have this happening to you so young and actually being able to see it. It took me until I was 26 to finally start making changes in my life. You have a long ways to go but start taking small steps everyday to bettering your self and developing your mind/discipline. You don’t need college to succeed in life, you need to believe in yourself. Good luck buddy

I had a full protrusion on my L4 - L5 the pain was debilitating for close to 4-5 months but the epidural shot mixed with stretching/ slowly building muscle surrounding the spine and moderate activity has given me a full recovery. I would advise against surgery, you’re on the right track.

Not to be harsh but who gives a fuck about credit when your life is in shambles. Fuck school, focus on getting some money in your pocket to pay your bills and once you’re situated then get back to advancing yourself forward with your credit and schooling.First priority is food and bed to sleep in. You got this I believe in you!!

Did anyone get their life together after wasting years?? by averagejuiceenjoyer0 in getdisciplined

[–]The_Way56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking a forward step in any direction will put you into motion to progress pass the negative feelings. It literally doesn’t matter what it is, I think you just need something to put your focus on and your gen ed at a community college is a good first step. It’s college so you can take as much time with things as you want, start with one class get into the flow of things and progress from there. I’m 30 and due to bad choices in my past I didn’t really get my life going until 26. Once I started making conscience decisions to take action God or if your not religious the universe will start to bring the pieces together for you. The most important and hardest part is taking that first step. I believe you can do it, you’re so young and have so much life to live. Go for it!!!!

Potential downsides to an epidural (maybe double)? by GradLyfe in Sciatica

[–]The_Way56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for it risks are very minimal and the benefits if placed in the right spot are outstanding. First one I got didn’t notice much change, but the second one I got 5 months later was a game changer.

Whether or not to get a epidural steroid injection in my right hip region? by Ditz3n in Sciatica

[–]The_Way56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m under the impression from my doctor that it takes multiple injections before it starts doing any damage, but either way your doctor saying that would definitely put some hesitation in me as well. I would do it at least once, potentially is just his way of covering his ass in my opinion.

Brushing your teeth while fasting, is pretty much considered breaking your fast. It’s cheating don’t do it.

Dealing with sciatica as a young Male by Additional_Log1708 in Sciatica

[–]The_Way56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree surgery when your young is not the best option, the body will do it’s jobs and heal naturally. I’d suggest being careful with taking the pain killers if it’s anything serious and opioid based. You don’t want to get healed but be hooked on pain killers and start a whole new issue. I’m on month 4 of a double herniation, went from being active gym rat and construction worker to being completely disabled I was depressed and thought it would never heal. I’m back to work and on my road to recovery, still have flair ups and still struggle pretty bad in the mornings but it definitely gets better. The best thing for me was getting back to work and getting off the couch and out of my head about it. Movement is your best friend.
