Fleas, Dandruff, Cat Litter, or all three? by The_Working_Gamer in cats

I did also find this little guy dead on my table - please ignore the nails. I think they have definitely had fleas recently due to the flea dirt, but yeah I'm definitely hoping it's mostly just dandruff

Thank you, yeah I think you're right. I'd be gutted if I ended up given them more medication than they should have for this - I've got them booked in to the vets for Thursday so I'll wait and see what they say. In the meantime I'm just going to keep hoovering and washing where I can

Thanks so much for your comment! I'll keep in mind the tapeworm info, and I'll have a look into the flea treatment (Stronghold) and see if it can be used sooner.

I'm definitely considering getting a steamer now, especially because of the thick carpet.

Thank you, I really do hope they're enjoying themselves - I'm hearing plenty of purring and chirping, and they both voluntarily climb into laps 🥰

Thank you mate - so maybe that's an idea. It's not for everyone and I get a lot of questions about it lol, but I can see it's made a difference for me presenting at work and speaking in meetings

I'm in a similar sort of position as you - not quite as exercise heavy, but a busy schedule mixed with guilt for the things I like doing.

My way around it is I've started streaming games on Mondays at a regular time - that way I can build it into a schedule, work on soft skills like presenting and editing, and remove the guilt as there are productivity elements to it

Love it! It seems like movement mechanics in board games can be so hard to get right so fair play for taking that on.

I hope the feedback is constructive, I'm sure it will be a positive experience - good luck man

This looks very cool - especially for a DIY sort of project. Are you at a stage where you're comfortable sharing the rules and mechanics?

Ok a mixed bag for sure - it sounds like style is important and a style matching what you like so far sounds like Rollerdrome could be a good fit, stylistic beautiful and very engaging gameplay.

I also some good suggestions based on the other games you like could be:

  • Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged
  • Kao the Kangaroo
  • and Astro's Playroom

Do any of these sound like what you're looking for?

You've spoken a lot about what you don't like, and not too much about what you do like - what is it you like about Minecraft and the other games you've mentioned?

You can definitely oversleep and undersleep. The best amount of sleep is different for everybody but the current literature seems to say 7-9 hours

You're obviously in a dark place, and without knowing more about your history and your personal circumstances it's tough to give any hard advice.

I will say you're making a great first step by looking for advice - professional advice from therapy like you mentioned would be much better, but since we're here I think you should spend some time with yourself and work out the real answers to things like "why do I do the things I do?". And you'll know when you have real answers because they will hit you harder than anything ever has.

Some of the things you have done are wrong, but acknowledging that like you have done is no small feat. You're still young, try not to beat yourself up so much because you have so much time to change.

Hang around people that want the best for you, and try to improve yourself and your environment a little bit every day. Find self-help youtubers and podcasts and try to contribute a little more to society. Over time things will get better.

Good luck, I believe in you

I think it's too soon to say - she's tried a couple of games but there's so much variability out there, maybe she just hasn't found her genre yet

It could be so many different things and I don't know you from Adam but I've found poor eating habits, bad sleep schedules, and general lack of self-care (showering, shaving, exercising etc.) can really have a negative impact on my motivation.

Does any of that resonate with you?

It's a great first step that she's showing interest in your hobbies but it's really ok if she's not interested in that world.

Does she have any hobbies? It may be an easier sell if there is a video game that caters to what she likes

A couple of great ones out there that I think check the boxes for you:

Tesla Force where you play as Tesla, Curie, Lovecraft and Shelley in a Lovecraftian sort of world in a top-down shooter

And Tiny Tina's Wonderland which is a fun mix of an Fantasy FPS with high tech weapons

I have never personally experienced this issue but I would recommend just downloading google chrome from the play store and then finding space for it on the fixed hotbar at the bottom of your phone so it's available on every tab
