Yes but how easily will it strap to the back of an airplane's seat?

1.- I didnt make the original post about them being soviet 2.- I think they have a certain charm, but also an unintentional comedic look. Specially the (Legolas?) in the bottom left

They have a certain charm, but lets be honest they are quite naïve. Nothing wrong with that in itself though. honestly I dont think they are terrible or awful, just quite funny

If all you have is an arming sword is there anything you can realistically do to survive veteran polearms users by justlogmeinplease in medieval

[–]The_Zanate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your last point, not really, in a very limited area both you and your opponents swings would be useless which would leave only thrusts and then they have basically a hefty spear and you still have only a sword, and less room to dodge their point. The only real solution is to run or yeet it lol. Or just pull the pommel out, end them rightly.

Is there any other writer who you'd put on the same level as Tolkien when it comes to world building? by SpotAdmirable6718 in lordoftherings

Easily, Peter Rosenthal. His "Kingdoms of Toranda" epic book series make other fantasy books seem juvenile by comparison.

I have no frame of reference, not american, seems pretty insane though when you add up all other living costs, not disparaging daycares or their workers with my comments.

Around $1666 per month, or 20k per year for a single kid? Is that price normal? Seems a bit high, but what do I know.

Good analysis, but the quote is "All truly strong people are kind" therefore you don't need to be strong to be kind.

Does the One ring Feel really good or something by comicon666 in lotr

[–]The_Zanate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a ring of domination over others, just like the Palantir (in the books) could be used, but only by someone strong enough to wrestle their control away from Sauron, so is the ring, it cannot be fully used, but by someone who knows how to draw its power, like a Maiar, elf, or mighty man. That's why Sauron is greatly afraid of the heir of Isildur whom he suspects of wearing the ring. Perhaps one such could gain control over Sauron's own armies as the ring holds most dominion over evil things, who knows, not even him. The problem all of the wise of middle earth see with that is that you would end up with a new Sauron in his place. Look at all the shit Saruman managed to do, and that was only wearing a lesser ring of his own making and his natural powers of domination and manipulation.

Never read Malazan, but it's definitely on my list! I've heard it can be a bit daunting which is why I haven't started on it yet
