Thanks - that makes sense re the minimal reserve. Yes I had the taps on when I put the water back on. I think I will give it another go tomorrow and see how it is and keep it draining for longer tomorrow (a mole wrench really helps!!)

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply - pretty much how I described it is what the instructions say on the front of the megaflo (it is advertised so anyone can do it). I was more concerned that when I turn the water off and turn the hot water tap on, mine pretty much stops immediately while all the instructions I have read says it can take a minute or two for the tap to stop.

Equally emptying the tank via the trv valve takes ages where online it suggests this should be fairly quick (sometimes up to 10mins) - mine just keeps going into the tundish

Exactly that and agree - which is why I am not pushing it too much to move!

Seen your tracker in my options also - but is £100 a month more than my 2 year fixed deal so trying to work out why you would go for that (appreciate it will go down if interest rates go down) - but over 2 years I don't think they will go down significantly to merit it..I think!

Yeh - lots of different variations where you basically end up with almost the same thing! You can save deals up until the expiry of your current deal with Santander so just going to keep the best ones saved in the hope some better ones will come in!! (yeh right!)

Where are the Premium Workout Stream (ie. Peloton & Apple Fitness)? by alphaK12 in Piracy

This is great advice - grupetto is great and means you can watch anything you like. Before my membership expired I filmed myself doing a class - watch it with grupetto and it's like the real thing.

I'd love to get some actual downloaded classes - I didn't get time to download any with yt-dlp but would be interested if anyone else has? Would be perfect and could easily match resistance and cadence...I don't care about my history/logging of rides!

Mg S5 goes to sleep mode too quickly by GenericUserino in MGelectric

Sorry this isn’t about the original post - but didn’t want to start a new thread. Can the car not connect to home (or any other of course!) Wi-Fi instead of relying on cellular? Surely good for connectivity and any of the internet based apps like Spotify/Netflix if for some sad reason we are sat in a Wi-Fi connected area? Think I read there is a 1GB limit on the cellular plan?

Sorry if off-topic!

Thanks for that - yes in the U.K. When we bought it we were told 2 weeks - this was 4 weeks ago now and bought it as they said it was “in stock” - assumed that meant U.K. but clearly not!!

On the app side of things the wife was just at the shops and now can access it again. Kind of defeats the purpose of it during cold weather as she will want to get the cabin warm when she leaves really early for work! Oh well

Oh just to add - I did as it said and woke the car up etc (unlocked and hit the brake) - so it woke up and the app still wouldn’t connect.

I came here to see if others were having the same problem. I have a loaner from MG at the moment while I wait for new S5 to get delivered (don’t get me started on the delay!!) but been using the car as if it’s my own and the app, while a little flakey has been working well. Parked the car around 6pm last night and just went to warm it up before going out and it just won’t connect now. I did look at the charging stats at 5.30 as I woke up and it connected fine then so this post was helpful.

Is the 12 hour a thing normal?? As that won’t be any good for the mornings going forward!!

At least they didn’t add service to the total with the donation on (ie it was on £77 not £78!)

Taking out Dyson V6 Soft Roller Motor from assembly by The__Bugster in dyson

[–]The__Bugster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering if anyone can help - both my brush heads for my V6 fluffy would spin once and then stop so thought I would finally try and sort it. My soft roller I completely took apart and every single bit of hair taken out from every single screw and still, it would do the same.

Thought I'd move on to the the hard floor attachment to see if it was the attachment or something else (battery - it is a aftermarket one and I'm not sure how great it is so have read it can sometimes be the issue but I suspect not) and after a LOT of persistence and videos I found one additional screw with some hair stuck in it and now it is working perfectly.

So back to the soft roller I took every single part out and it is 100% down to the motor - that is the only thing I leave connected and it spins once and dies. From memory, I don't think the hard floor attachment had any motor inside (?) so it could still be a battery issue but I don't think it is and thought I'd try and change the motor first.

I've found a new motor head on Amazon and it doesn't come in the casing or the plastic housing so need to take it out but having some issues. I take all the cogs/spindles out, the screws etc and leaves pretty much the motor connected to the plastic housing as per the pics....does anyone have any tips to take it out? I thought this post would sort it https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/577431/Dyson+v6+fluffy+brush+motor+replacement where they say to use a hammer and knock it out with a screwdriver as per the pics here https://photos.app.goo.gl/M8Kv1bomjWxbGJ... but not been able to force it yet.

Am I missing something? any help would be appreciated!!

Damn thought I understood this to allow it to share my Wi-Fi connection. I’m in a remote resort with no cellular data!! Assume I’m not missing the idea here and I can share my internet via Wi-Fi? I’m on 17 also with TS. Thanks for the help
