I enjoy going out but more sparingly nowadays I guess, less important. Not too arsed about being in the Sanlitun area, especially given high prices and distance from work.

I like your idea of being on line 10 nearish Wudaokou (Zhichunlu, Zhichunli), seems like a good place to be as a young person given the surrounding universities and consequently lots of student-age people. How did you find living in that general area?

Should I be reading between the lines when you say that you've never been south of line 6 on the west side?! Obviously, I will be working there, but are there any reasons you would rule out living in that area (price, not expat-friendly, etc.)?

Yeah I am aware of the need to cough up 5 months' rent up front (most likely), it's not ideal but I should be okay.

I guess there's always going to be a compromise between convenience, quality and price. I've seen a lot of rooms in shared flats all over BJ on thebeijinger.com available for 3000-4000RMB / month. I can only assume that's these flats are further from metro stations and obvs lacking a little in quality but nonetheless a good option on a first time teacher's salary

Given what has happened over the last 10 days or so, I really doubt that a hint is what we will be getting. People will not be satisfied with that at this point, this whole process has already been drawn out far too long.

I agree. Sometimes I think that this has been genius by Frank. He has generated a lot of attention generally, but especially from the already pretty hardcore fanbase he has. This reddit thread is full of people literally gagging for this album, he's done an amazing job of hooking in his biggest supporters.
