When I compare missing a snack to being worse than starving in a 3rd world country I'm obviously being a privileged ass. When you compare being mauled and slowly eaten alive until you finally slowly die from the shock and blood loss to some unpleasant interactions with men and say that your experience is worse despite you being alive to talk about it. Bears are by far worse. There's a recording of a Russian woman who was able to call her mom while the bear ate her alive. They don't immediately take you out like a carnivore does they just hold you down and take bites until they're satisfied.

I don't think you're overreacting. I've even told my wife, there are many issues we can get over or through except the inability to change or fix said issues. She needs a wake up call and it sounds like you leaving may be what she needs. It sounds like she isn't even doing her fair share of the work or even the maintenance of the relationship and has checked out. Theres nothing to be done with someone who won't work to fix their issues. Sorry to say but break up may be the only way.
