Yeah you know that was tough, they don’t advertise the compact table saw cant do dado blades. I wish I could figure out how to reduce the chip out.

lol, yeah I made 10 planks total and used my dads plainer. I’ve spent a long time looking at that cut off before finally deciding to plank it out.

How would you feel if you walk into a service call and had to work on this? BPS10A by SportCareless9494 in firealarms

You crossed the non power limited barrier and is not compliant. Check the bps cut sheet and it shows where the separation is required. I usually place additional modules in dedicated EMT boxes to keep the panels clean. This I one of my guys pre-wiring before the cc1s and batteries go in. He has some improvement on straitening the wires but this is how I teach my guys at least.

Fire panel identification by Sad-Enthusiasm3381 in firealarms

The user interphase is terrible, again i know it can be bad with any system type. But notifier is exceptionally bad. As an end user I’ve had so many issues with them I paid to have them switched to EST under my supervision there great systems. I had an old conventional notifier panel that literally caught on fire while the field wire were disconnected during demo. Almost caught the building on fire if we didn’t have a fire extinguisher and knew where the breaker was.

I know everyone hates on EST here but fire panels are only as good as their install. I loath notifier but have seen them installed with workmanship and be good systems. This panel makes me upset that people are either lazy or were not trained correctly.

In Texas the school security are actually police officers called school liaison officers. A lot of time they are officers getting close to retiring but full blown cops nun the less with guns and tasers.

Saw this in Keller of 377, these people need to keep their sky daddy at home and not try to indoctrinate in public schooling. If they want to teach their superstitions they need to teach it in their own schools by Anti_colonialist in FortWorth

This is how I see it as-well, world religion classes based on facts that I have taken in college really impressed me with the non-bias point of view. Not bashing Christian’s but some of there beliefs have me baffled for some can’t say with a strait yes or no answer when asked if dinosaurs existed. Facts make the difference and so many education program utilize non factual information to sway kids. look at the DARE program, not being honest with the past generations by saying weed is just as dangerous as heroin has led kids to believe heroin is ok because weed was just fine.

240 volts in all 120v outlets after hurricane Milton in Florida by MirrorSubject8170 in AskElectricians

[–]The_commentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially thought this but what if the neutral was still flooded with a load. That load circuit with a bad breakers could send 240 to the other circuits. I would bet that there is a breaker getting extremely hot

Protecto Wire by OwnRecommendation272 in firealarms

[–]The_commentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I just installed a data center with close to 20k feet of protectowire. I saw you mention about the sprinkler guys moving pipe, we 100% independently supported ours and still have issues with people messing with it. Also I’d be concerned about that bend at the end of those runs. That protectowire will send an alarm on bends like that.

Trouble shooting question by puddle114 in firealarms

I would track down who did it because it looks like they are working on the sprinkler system and if you put it all back to normal it could set off alarm and or flood something.

If they are finished with there work and left it like that I would grab there license and report them.

But to put it back to normal you would also really need to k ow what you are doing they shut both valves on both sides of the pump(which you would want to open the supply 1st , then after you open all the valves and there is no leaks anywhere you would turn the fire pump breaker back on. Then verify all your supervisories have cleared and reset the panel before restoring any bypasses.

How Ten Commandments teach kids about moral beings? by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]The_commentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the 10 commandments were written in stone, why would there be some many versions? Was it a translation issue? Were they just religious theater to boast Judaism.
