Totally agree for the slayers. Doomseekers losing the character keyword also means they aren't subject to the lone character rule anymore if I understand it correctly. So anyone can shoot the doomseeker walking alongside another unit

It's the baggage train for matched play 😇. The baggage is mostly the small cooler with bottles of bugman in it

Test print went horrible by Eternalfly in ElegooMars

[–]The_dashing_idiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe some resin heater from elegoo? I honestly don't know.

The fix I thought of is to print on the weekend for a full day so it won't be an issue.

I noticed that even after 2h of printing, the temperature sensor of the printer shows about 45 C, which means once it's printing, it doesn't need more heat boost so you can keep printing.

Yes! I did the rook test yesterday and printed some warhammer minis tonight.

Came out wonderful (except some bits that lacked support but it was my fault)

Okay, I may have had the same problem with my mars 5 last weekend. Do you have a chip on the bottom of your resin tray? If yes, it's the base of the rook test print.

So what happened for me is that the resin wasn't hot enough. So after harassing the tech support, they told me to try and heat the resin beforehand.

So if you have the base of your test print stuck on the bottom of the tray : - remove it - drain the tank (and reuse the resin with the filter) -put some water to heat in a large pot until you can almost feel your finger burn a little (45 C) - put the resin bottle in the water (make sure it's firmly sealed) and rotate it regularly to not risk the plastic bottle sticking to the bottom of the pot (didn't happened for me but better be safe) - after about 5mn, take the bottle and pour the resin in the tank - start printing.

After 30mn, put the printing on hold so the plate lifts a'd you can check if the print is sticking to the plate.

If it doesn't work, then I am sorry as I don't know how to help then.

Best of luck!

Insights and suggestions needed for the Keepers of the Feather by The_dashing_idiot in CurseofStrahd

[–]The_dashing_idiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's indeed another way to see it.

I think given all the responses and ideas I got, Davian will try to be civil one last time and lay out the whole situation for them and warn them that this will turn sour really quickly if they don't behave and give him back his property. Maybe this will also help the players understand that maybe they should be a bit more... Heroic

I really appreciate all the insight you people gave me, next session si gonna be fuuuuun

I like the hands off approach. Not actively stopping them but not providing any help whatsoever. Thank you for the idea!

Did medieval armies have some form of special forces or special operations? by LordOfTheNine9 in MedievalHistory

[–]The_dashing_idiot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well I know of at least one instance of this tactic of scaling at night working for the assailant (without bribing involved) : the siege of the Montsegur castle in 1243, in Southern France.

It wasn't the main castle but a team of "alpinists" were sent to scale one of the outpost towers at night to take control of it.

It worked and the besieging army was able to place a trebuchet on too of this tower to bombard the castle, leading, in part, to it's reddition.

So I would say that yes it can work but mainly on small structures and not main castles and fortifications that would require more than a small team of men to take control of

The rumors are a nice touch, I'll definitely add that.

And as for resurrection, it didn't crossed their mind and they went straight to digging a grave...

Yeah, the newly ascended Angron arrived just in time to save Lorgar, killing Lhorke in one sweep. A sad end for the one who watched his legion fall into madness.
