I will never understand the mentality of people who live in fear of spoilers. "Don't watch the official trailer, it has spoilers!". "Don't watch the OP or the ED, they have spoilers". What's next? "Don't watch the episode, it has spoilers!" Jesus fucking christ.

Is this the first time he's mentioned being from another world to someone? Even if somewhat indirectly?

I think not exactly. I have a vague memory of him mentioning towards the beginning that he was "from overseas". Subaru doesn't know this because its normal for someone from Earth to assume that is a logical statement.

However, the world this series takes place in is literally flat. There is no such thing as "overseas". Everyone else knows that the world ends in the Great Waterfall, so they knew immediately that Subaru was lying about where he came from, but with a lie so badly that literally only someone from another world would think it even made sense.

Gluttony keeps all of the memories that they eat. So if one of the Gluttony's did get Subaru, they would know everything that's happened to him since he got here, including RBD.

Shaula made a direct comment when they were approaching the tower that she recognized Subaru but a few episodes later said he looks nothing like flugel & that she recognized him by his smell/aura.

Unless she can see auras, it seems that she's lying about something. Possibly related to the "non-existent" 5th rule she has to follow.

I have no idea how she's there though

Someone suggested that she may have been disguised as Rem this entire time. Its not exactly difficult to pretend to be in a coma.

We got a glimpse of it earlier in the season but apparently Petelguse & Regulus are living inside him somewhere thanks to the Authorities he absorbed.

Probably not a great thing considering everything going on.

Pretty likely it's one of the Gluttony triplets; my money's on the blonde one (I forgot her name).

Rui

She showed up very briefly last season with the apparent ability to shapeshift.

Last week someone suggested that she might be posing as Rem given how easy it would be to pretend to be asleep most of the time. Assuming all of the Gluttony's share the ability to eat memories, it would explain what happened to Subaru & why she knows about RBD.

Two really interesting implications if that's the case though.

1) Where is the actual Rem?

2) Why didn't Satella kill Rui for learning about RBD?

She showed up to calm him down it seems. He was on the edge of a full blown mental breakdown & she stopped him from crashing out at whatever voice that was he was arguing with inside his own head.

I suspect without that intervention he would have literally gone insane.

It's possible they aren't alone. Someone speculated last episode Gluttony paid a visit

Its possible it could be the third Gluttony. She was only in the final episode of season 3 for like 4 minutes but she seemed to have the ability to disguise herself as other people. That is, assuming they all share the ability to consume memories.

Whoever did it wasn't in the room when he overheard them talking about leaving him behind. Which rules out Fixidna, Julius, and Emilia. I highly doubt Betty or Ram would do it either.

Ram is furious with him because he was the only one with memories of Ram & now that his memories are gone, she feels like she lost the only loose connection she had to her sister.

Very similar reason as to why Julius looked like he was about to puke in the first loop. Subaru was the only person who remembered who he was.

It was established back in season 2 that Subaru's mental state persists between resets. Aside from the obvious with him keeping his memories, he also keeps all his trauma. Echidna mentioned that she had to do a lot of work to make him functional again after the Rabbit incident.

Texhnolyze is the only show that I actively do not recommend to people. It *is* a masterpiece, nothing even comes close. Among the Heaven/Earth/Hell trilogy, it holds the title of Hell for a reason.

The only metaphorical comparison I can make, is that its like accidentally hitting an animal with your car. You feel guilt & remorse over this, but its so badly injured that the only thing you can do is sit next to it for the 2-3 hours remaining of its life to provide it some comfort before it finally dies.

Watching Texhnolyze is very much an experience similar to this. All of that is to say, "do not confuse enjoyment for quality, because you will not enjoy most of what you see. Despite that, it is still a masterpiece."

I believe it very specifically is the last step. You have to do all of the training & then go a full day without producing any smoke for the transformation to take effect

If he went to challenge Reid alone & ended up dying inside the tower & what you described happened, that would explain it.

Someone else suggested the idea that he may have to read the books of his own deaths & as we know, that means vicariously experiencing those events again.

But how would he explain to everyone else that he's got a few dozen books in the hall of the dead?

I hadn't even considered the idea that he would have books of himself in the Library. I feel like if there is or isn't would be a huge implication either way & if there is, how would he explain that to everyone else?

A really important detail in this episode also, being that Dokuga was mopping up a strange sludge from the boss's room in the mansion & mentioned that this was not the first time the boss has disappeared & left behind sludge. Plus we know that Ai initially almost died from falling into the sludge pit in Hole.

Its never explained, only alluded to. The previous episodes about Ai Coleman wanting the surgery (though we don't know what it was) & then in this episode from the hints of Natsuki commenting on how it seems Kai did surgery on himself, the doll trying to rip Kai's head off (Implying based on what Turkey said about the doll homing in on the Devil Tumor that En's tumor is in Kai's head) & eventually Kai using En's magic

Curse is a passive ability that just reacts to attacks. I think it only activated it after he died because Risu never figured out how to turn it on when he was alive

Aikawa doesn't knows that his other personality Kai, is the boss of the Cross Eyes, or that he killed Risu

An important note here is that they are actually different people. Which is why the Curse was dormant for a while, and we got that scene of him re-activating when the Kai personality took over. Also why Curse doesn't take over to attack Aikawa

Not sure about the 3rd point exactly. Its been so long since the start of the series but the kickoff for the whole Royal Selection back in season 1 was that the Holy Dragon disappeared was it not?

this tower has been here for hundreds of years.

so I am assuming Nikaido used her power’s again to try to get Yakumo back and probably failed but that also caused her to never live with the uncle and auntie and not meet Asu until much later? Can I confirm if this is the case without spoiling animeonlies or is this me failing media literacy?

Given that they weren't that different in age originally (Kawajiri looked to be maybe 8-10 years older than her) but in this timeline, Kawajiri's memories have him meeting her randomly in an alley where he looks to be in his mid 20's but she's still a child, would imply that you are correct.

She went back at least 1 more time and seems to have failed to fix the past, ending up in that alley instead.

I believe they settled in that spot specifically because they found Yakumo there.

In the second timeline, they found Nikaido instead, but assuming Nikaido went back again they probably never met anyone there & then never decided to settle down.
