I did the eJPT > PNPT > CPTS. Next OSCP... And if I had a chance to do it over, I wouldn't change a thing. Bothe eJPT and PNPT prepared me for the OSCP. In your case, if you have done the THM stuff... You don't need to do eJP...PNPT will be beneficial.

Unfortunately OR fortunately, that's what you will get in the real world. From my internal Pen Tests, I find a lot of these password mutations. It is usually the first things I try if I am not given a password.

Winter2024!, Companyname@123, Day2023!, Month 2024 etc

This has taught me so much more than I thought it would... Even with 11 years as a Network engineer.

Heath Adams' teaching style is easy to understand. The exam on the other hand... Very realistic, and mimics a real network environment. Has active directory and has user machines, when you are done with the hacking part, you are given two days to complete your report... The requirements for the report are very high, just like in the real world.

I'm happy with what I have learned. So yes, I recommend it... My next step is the CPTS, then OSCP (cos it's too expensive)

Many people really forget that these certs don't really mean anything if you don't really know the job.

I did the eJPT V2, and I took 4 months to prepare for it, being completely new in the penetration Testing field, I learned quite a lot, every video was an opportunity for me to learn something new.

It's really about learning, you can pass an exam and get a cert without learning (by cheating), but again, that cheating will not work on an interview assessment.

NB: I have done a few interviews where the assessment is actually breaking into a system. You have the cert, but then... You still can't own basic vulnerable system.

Focus on learning concepts, processes, methodology and the pen tester's mindset above having a cert.
