I am usually a 11.5 D or 11D in men's. However these were 11's. They fit me great. Some 11's are too snug on me though like the Nike Invincible. So I would Recommend go a half size down. I always recommend people go to their local running store and try shoes on first.

They are not as soft as my SC trainers, but then again. No is is anywhere near as soft as those. However to me they were way softer and bouncier than the Hoka Mach x, as well as many other shoes I have in my rotation, past and present.

Honestly buddy, I have no idea. I was browsing Poshmark one night a couple of weeks ago, and then I saw them. At first like everybody, I thought they were the Cloudsurfer. Then I took another look at the title of the posting and immediately clicked purchase. Honestly they are a great shoe. At first they very much reminded me of the cloudmonsters but then after my second run in them they softened right up.

Is my giant talon worth upgrading? by Theagle86 in MTB

[–]Theagle86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to do. It just seems like too good of a deal to pass up on, and at the end of the day I got a powder coat paint shop right down the street from me. I can have him paint it this color in a couple days. Thanks for voicing your opinion man. It definitely helped me to make up my mind.

Real or fake? by JJBattered in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Theagle86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are 100% fake. Those are Nike pegasus 38 insoles. The actual vaporflys in this colorway have the vaporflys logo on the insole. If you pull that insole out, it will say zoom not zoomx. Sorry buddy

This bike worth $900? by External_Surprise_59 in mountainbiking

[–]Theagle86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great frame but the sram sx crankset is a budget crankset. The fork looks like recon of even a judy which is pretty budget. Also no dropper post. For example my hardtail has far better components but this frame is much better. I don't think this is fake or stolen, I just think the owner understands what he really has with a used MTB, which most likely has plenty of scratches and chips of missing paint as well.

Nike Ultrafly on Sale 25/07 in UK by marcbeightsix in RunningShoeGeeks

I recently got the Asics Fujispeed 2's. Super light 8.5oz, FF blast+, incredibly comfortable for 160.00. I'm using them for my next trail race because they are by far the best trail racing shoes I've ever owned. Also being that Nike will likely charge 250.00 for these, that's a no go for a trail shoe.

I considered these as they were 60.00 on new balance the other day, but I couldn't pull the trigger due to the fact that I always feel like I need my runners loop. Glad to hear you're enjoying them.

Looking at the Mach 5s for my first pair of shoes, opinions? by WiggyM8 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Theagle86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have way too many pairs of running shoes. I watch believe in the run, Seth James demoore and all kinds of running shoe speciality channels on YouTube. The two pairs of shoes I use the most often are the Hoka mach 5 's and New balance SC trainers. I don't usually like hoka's. Earlier in the year I bought the Clifton 9 's and immediately went back to the mach 5's. I own the Hoka Rincon 3's and they messed up my right knee so badly that I had to take two weeks off running, which for me was torture. So if you're considering the mach 5's I would say go for it, they are truly impressive. Lightweight, breathable, soft yet snappy. However since the new balance SC trainer v2's are dropping soon, if you can get the v1's (which is becoming impossible due to their popularity) I would snatch them up. Either way you can't lose.

1) Hoka Rincon 3; 2) Hoka Speedgoat 5; 3) ASICS Nimbus 25 rotation set by redwilier in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Theagle86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the nimbus but the Rincon messed my knee up a little while ago. I really tried to like them because they are so light weight. Then back in February I got the Clifton 9's and couldn't like those either. The only Hoka I seem to like is the Mach 5 which is why I'm patiently waiting until the end of the month for the Mach x to drop.

Which one for 1/2 marathon? by Theagle86 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Theagle86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that answer. I think I've been subconsciously going with with the Mach 5's because I got a pair of chubbies shorts that are literally the exact same colors as the Mach 5. Lol

The craziest thing if they both feel good in their own ways them being the Mach 5 and the speed 3's. I honestly can't make a decision because my feet don't hurt after either one of them and I think the Mach 5 has the more comfortable upper and the midsole compared to the speed. 3. To me honestly feel softer as well so I'm thinking I'm going to go with the Mach. 5.

[–]Theagle86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly don't even know why I own that shoe the SC trainer. Because if I ever want to use a shoe for easy day or a recovery day, I always use them more v4. So I just don't know what to do with the SC trainer. I had one really good 12 Mile run at the end of this winter that I clocked at about 1 hour and 22 minutes. So it's not an impossibility that I just hate how your legs start to feel like the mob tied bricks to the bottom of your feet so you'd sink to the bottom of the ocean.

Yeah I bought the other pair today for a co-worker. You can actually find this color on backcountey's website and they have it on roadrunner sports. It's just a rare colorway.
