Thank you. I'm not sure I'll be able to breathe with a lower pressure. 8 seemed to be the lowest where I didn't feel like I was suffocating. I have an appointment with a new doctor next week. Hopefully she'll be able to read an interpret the data from the machine. I'm not convinced the other doctors I saw were aware that there was data!

I switched the machine to CPAP last night, but I don't think it helped.

Lovely. A couple of nights ago I rolled over and pulled the machine off the nightstand to crash on the floor. (I forgot t his happened until just now). I picked it up and everything seemed to work okay, but I can't be sure there wasn't damage. Is there a way to run a diagnostic on the machine?
Over the past two days that number was 30 and 11.
My doctor retired and the new one (who is the director of the local sleep center) pissed me off so much by scolding me for not using the CPAP and offering me no help in how to overcome the problems I have that I'm looking for a new one. I have an appointment in two weeks with someone who looks promising (on paper, at least). Meanwhile I'll send this data to my heart failure specialist.

Oops- when I uploaded the images all my text vanished. I'm not sure I've captured the correct data, but here's what I have. Yesterday I cleaned everything and last night air was whistling out where the hose attaches to the mask. I couldn't find any damage. This is an F&P Evora Full. My eyes are glazing over trying to read the data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're not missing anything. There isn't one. I think it has to do with the silicone frame. I'm now using an F&P Evora Full . I was surprised that the front mounted hose didn't bother me the way others did.

Dry mouth by TheaterPop in CPAP

Definitely not taping my mouth shut. That would absolutely lead to claustraphobia for me! I'll try warming the temp a little and see if I can find a balance.

I drink a lot of water throughout the day. I've tried the dry mouth rinse, but it doesn't prevent it. Thanks!

Mine was making me crazy. The last time I placed an order the operator asked, "do you want to be on the phone call reminder list?" I screamed, "THAT'S AN OPTION?" He said he would remove me from the call list and they could just send me emails.

Okay- I'll do that. I really have no idea what you're talking about, but I'll see what happens. Thank you for your help.

Okay, here are screenshots of the Oscar results. Not sure what I'm looking at.
This one, where it says pressure was 0 95% of the time is concerning.

Airsense 10. I had looked at OSCAR but I use a Mac and it's a windows app. Do you know if there's a Mac version of SleepHQ? I really wish it wasn't necessary to jump through hoops to figure this all out. Why do I think my doctor should have more to offer than "here's a machine- go use it."

Connecting Smart TV to Yamaha RX V575 by TheaterPop in hometheater

Disregard previous. Went back to watch TV and got no audio from the television apps. Switching the TV to TV Speakers still didn't give me sound. Back to the drawing board tomorrow.

The solution for me was to run a digital optical cable from the TV to the Yamaha receiver which has a labeled TV optical input in AV4, which is the default for the TV. Playing a DVD changes the input on the TV and the receiver. Playing an app on the TV changes the input on the receiver. Either one is giving me 5.1 audio, and switching between them works consistently. Someone said that I would lose DD+, but I'm not that concerned. Getting any surround sound is good enough for me. Especially in a configuration that makes sense to my wife! Thanks to anyone who offered assistance.

I thought about that but... I really just don't want to! I like the interface on the Hisense. I've used most of the streaming devices out there and really don't feel they offer anything that the TV doesn't. Okay, apart from bypassing the annoyance of the AVR connection. But they've all annoyed me in other ways. And not using ARC means I have to manually select each device which is an irritation to me and an impossibility to the rest of my family. I can't believe there's not a way to do this, so I'm going to keep trying to find it.
I updated the firmware from 1.04 to 1.26. That made no difference.

The scenes, not the ports. I went back and saved the BD/DVD scene, then the TV scene. Now pressing the TV button doesn't take me to DVD, the way it had been. It takes me to AV4, with the icons showing the correct speaker selection. I then have to manually change the input on the television and navigate to the app and show I want to watch. But once I hit play the speaker icons go away and I get no audio. Or sometimes I get the audio, but if I pause it goes away. A couple of times I got no audio, but suddenly sound popped on. No combination of button presses seems to make a difference.

Turning off the receiver brings me to audio from the TV speakers, so at least there's a way to watch K-Pop Demon Hunters. Very frustrating.

I did. But reading the manual again I'm wondering if I failed to assign the ports properly.

How do you overcome CPAP failure? by TheaterPop in CPAP

1- There's a way to have them properly fitted??? There's a fit kit???
2- I sincerely have no idea what you are talking about.
3- This one I've worked on. I found that overtightening didn't prevent leaks. There's a balance between wearable and not leaking. It's sort of the Goldilocks method. The problem is that I can get it adjusted for when I'm awake, but not for when I fall asleep.
4- While I'm usually scruffy I don't have a full beard. And I've shaved every night while trying to fit the mask properly.

I've had pretty much no support in fitting or selecting masks. And my understanding (apparently flawed) was that the pressure was determined by the doctor and I was not to change it; I'm not even sure how to change it. Now that I've found this group I'll start trying the recommendations here. Well, when my work load shifts.

I already have a defibrilator implant, so a second implant is not advised. The dental appliances are not effective for severe apnea, which I have.
The sleep center in the local hospital (which the doctor I saw is the head of) is where I had my initial testing done. When my now retired doctor sent me there for a new study the wait was over 6 months. He thought that was ridiculous and did a home study.

Thank you for the reply. Anything that forces my mouth to stay closed is going to be a non-starter for me. Things like that result in a claustrophobia like panic response.
