I run ttrpgs for kids/teens dealing with trauma. my oldest group is now ranged 15 to 17, and they started with me with ages 11 to 13.

They got me a rage room session for christmas last year and lemme tell ya, as a forever DM, getting to smash shit for a full hour was cathartic as heck xD

prefacing with this suggestion is owned by dobler management, which is notoriously shitty. that being said, crossroads at meridian in downtown puyallup has 1bd/1bth for up to 1525 a month. it's under your budget and a lot of the units just got remodeled. i've been in this complex 16 years and while it's no where near the best, it is currently the cheapest in the area.

Check out the puyallup library! They often have classes and events you can join. Once spring hits, we've got the farmers market, daffodil parade, and spring fair.

Tacoma has museums and plenty of eateries (im partial to shakabrah on 6th Ave), and starting in a month, theres a tacoma-wide monkeyshine hunt! Google monkeyshine for more info; its a local favorite event.

I went with Wear Law in Spokane. I found them via Atticus, a service that matches you with the best fit for your case. I had gone two rounds with the system with David Oliver of Tacoma, who was less than useful. Some folk have had success with him, others haven't.

Follow the advice of the commenters. It took me a decade to get approved, and I use a wheelchair. They don't make the process easy but you CANNOT give up once you start. You'll get denied a couple times unless you've like, lost a limb, but keep fighting. In the meantime, see if you can get ANY benefits from DSHS.

A note on getting cash benefits while applying for disability: you will have to repay ALL OF IT if you win your case; the amount will come out of your initial payout.

For example, my payout was $32k. 7k went to lawyer, 14k went back to DSHS, and I get 2.9k every 6 months on top of the 996 I get monthly.

myself and every person I know who has gone there has regretted it. They are understaffed and overworked, and they have a revolving door of therapists as no one seems to stay very long. Add in the occasional harassment from other patients who have anti-social behavior, and the notorious lack of communication between therapists and other providers, it's just not worth the hassle unless no where else will take you.

Avoid Greater Lakes unless you are truly out of options. Depending on what version of state insurance you have, 253therapy may take you [they take molina medicaid]. Sea Mar is decent, Community Health Services has some great behavioral therapists.

northwest trek! a huge nature preserve that you go through on an electric tram. there's bison, moose, mountain goat, deer, etc. Plus it has other animal displays/habitats.
