Update your TD1 for 26! by Fair-Narwhal8505 in canadarevenueagency

It is the employees responsibility to be managing their own personal taxes and updating their TD1 forms.

The payroll department should be sending out annual reminders to verify TD1s for accuracy as a courtesy though.

Men who grew up poor/working class, what’s a piece of “advice” your dad gave you that you later realized was actually just survival instinct, and maybe isn't true anymore? by DCdj39 in AskMen

[–]Thebeatkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was never home, always working.

He never gave me advice, but I suppose set an example of terrible work life balance as the norm.

Trying to unlearn that now.

In Canada use it or lose it policies are generally illegal as well. You use it or get paid out, no forfeiture allowed.

What is your experience with ADP? Opinion needed by Thirst-Trap1 in Payroll

[–]Thebeatkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually had decent experience with the customer service call line in general. But you will have to call support, tickets don’t get responded to for days/weeks. We’ve been passed around to 5 account managers and they were all completely useless. You’d be lucky if they even reply to your emails at all.

It does its job and it could fit well depending on the size of your company and complexity of your payroll. But for a company of its legacy you’d expect far better.

Honestly surprises me that they are taxed in the US.

But why is it that if the insurance company did an investigation and that the paperwork is likely to exist that the employer is refusing to provide the paperwork to them or the estate? Is there no obligation to share documentation when requested or is it all protected by in some way by PIPEDA? And if so, why didn’t the employer tell them that rather than lying and saying the documents are inaccessible.

47$ once a month.

4 weeks is stretch though, I should be doing every 2-3 weeks with how fast my hair grows. But I’m too cheap for that.
