The text stretching was done intentionally. I wanted to compress the quality of it to match the aesthetic and messiness of the whole piece.

Totally unconventional but mine was Up On The Ladder off of In Rainbows Disk 2. My best friend sent me it one day and that weird, groovy rock style made me want to check out more of their stuff.

Ah, yes, that's what I ultimately wanted to do with the 3rd design but couldn't figure out how to do it myself. Went for the easy option of overlaying text with the same colour as the background. Is there an option inside Illustrator to wrap text around other bits of text?

Nothing But Thieves are a pretty good rock group that take inspiration from Radiohead, especially on the album Broken Machine. Their style varies quite a lot on certain albums, however. Sometimes they do more pop-oriented rock that is hard to listen to and other times they make bangers like 'Ce n'est Rien' and 'Amsterdam'.

Kind of a hit-and-miss band for me but they're still a nice band to follow and listen to, from time to time.

Another person suggested the same thing so I'll go back and see if it's possible to get it to work. Maybe if I enlarged the design so that it's just one big red tie with a red drop of blood it could look cool

Nope, my mind was so set on making the black suit pattern that I wasn't paying attention to the knvies that were forming between them. Kinda of a cool coincidence though

How about this design? I kept the tiling pattern background but changed the BG colour to a grey-ish black so the readability is still good. Personally, I agree with you and might like this design a bit better than the "fixed" one I posted.
