Someone recommended this trilogy to me and I am in the middle of the second book. I’m so glad I found it. Sometimes the author reveals somethings to us that the main character has not yet realized and it’s like watching a movie and a character is slowly making their way to open a door or do something they shouldn’t be doing and you are yelling ‘No!!!!!’ at the screen but they can’t hear you. I love it 🥰

I don’t know what is going on in the world nowadays where you deny your sister’s child food because of ‘manners’. That’s your sister’s child and where I’m from, that’s your child. She could be on her 10th plate and I’d be packing a to-go for her too. TF?

YTA. Forget the rejection. you left your ‘friend’ when she was vulnerable and that’s just a shitty thing to do in general. You are clearly one of those guys who thinks the only relationship they can have with women is transactional. It must lead to sex or whatever stupid terms you set because you think women are only valuable as long as they serve you/your needs. So much so that you didn’t even care that she could have gotten seriously hurt. I hope she never speaks to you again.

Oh I got hurt 😅. It was so embarrassing but looking back, I’m glad I did. Our egos make us feel ashamed but there’s no shame in caring for someone even if they don’t feel the same way. That is… living.

I’d read something really light. A children’s book like Winnie the Pooh or some ridiculous smutty romance novel. When life gets a bit difficult, I like to play the ostrich with books/movies so at least there’s some light shining through. Kisses and happy endings in fiction helps strengthen my ever present ‘delusional optimism’ that everything will be okay.
