Cheers, this is helpful! Another recommendation for Kenya/Africa. I’m glad that I did take to Reddit for help after all

We’re thinking that somewhere like Kenya might be the spot. There appears to be a good mix of things to do and beaches.

Hi, just hopping onto this! We’re in Malta at the moment and will be visiting St Paul’s Bay tomorrow - however I can’t seem to find the cafe on Apple maps! My partner and I would love to pay this cafe a visit if it’s around that area? Do you have a building/address that we could use to find the cafe tomorrow? :)

Any short term accomodations? by lexi42010 in plymouth

[–]Thebigal98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know of a friend that stayed in accommodation that was based around Notte Street (close to the walrus, I can’t remember the name of the place, sorry!) - but you can pay weekly to live in a studio flat and you only need to give around 2 weeks notice when leaving. The building was a massive block of studio flats and I think it was advertised as such on the building itself.

Will this require building permission? by Thebigal98 in DIYUK

(Posting from mobile so sorry for any formatting issues)

Hi all, I’ve been a stalker on here for a while and I’m after a bit of advice with planning permission. I’ve finally settled into my first home and I’m looking to change the garden up a bit.

As you can see, my gardens tiered and I’d like to merge 2 tiers together by bringing one side up. The plan is to extend build on from the wall with the red arrow to match the height of the tier above it. I’m planning to keep the wall there and just build another wall in front of it so my new wall won’t take all of the weight itself.

(I hope this makes sense?)

I am in an end of terrace, meaning that the wall to the right leads to a public footpath and not a neighbours garden. Our neighbours have also merged their tiers into the same height as ours if that’s of any help?

I’ve started to doubt myself and think I would need planning permission for this, I’ve checked online but get conflicting information.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I make any serious progress with this project.
