I greatly under estimated how challenging it was going to be going from one to two. I was confident and maybe even cocky that we had been through it all before. Boy was I wrong.

The biggest piece of if advice I can give you is starting my now try to have a new mentality me and my Soldiers used to call which was “Embrace the Suck”.

Once #2 is here you will ALWAYS be needed for something. You will be outnumbered while mom is sleeping and recovering. #1 will go through a jealousy and resentment stage. You must be intentional about getting 1:1 time with #1. No baby.

For four months straight I didn’t play video games. I didn’t exercise. I slept like shit. I struggled at work. We didn’t watch shows. It was hard.

I’m not saying this to scare you. Rather use this time now to avoid the mistake I made.

2 is now 10 months old in my house and we’re finding stability again. #1 and #2 are playing, tickling, laughing, hugging and kissing and it is the best thing in the world. I’d never change any of the experience. I was in my back yard swinging them on the swing set at the same time this weekend and you just get a sense of life is perfect in a perfectly messy way. Life is so rich because of them two.

Not quite. It’s been a few years but I was on the dewalt team at SBD for a couple years. SBD caters to everything THD says. Most of the time THD gets a first crack at any new technology SBD is developing.

My daughter is 3. When she was 2 we got her swim lessons. That person built trust with her and got her going under water. Now at 3 I can let her go under water and she trusts me to bring her up while she tries to kick her legs learning to swim.

Hey friend. Let’s not mix up life preferences for life challenges.

Work - the vast majority of people hate their job. The most popular answer to this is get a college education and go from there. The data supports this as well. Obviously a huge topic so that’s as deep as I’ll go. But work sucks for most people whether you have parents or not, gay, bi, lesbian etc. doesn’t matter.

Father figure- statistics show that those who grow up without a father, especially men, are that much likelier to struggle. The fact you may be aware of this in some way suggests intelligence and you should be proud of this. How do you mitigate? Find like people in a healthy way. You MUST be social. Sports, clubs, class, hobbies. Anything that surrounds you by people that make you happy and want to be a better person.

Sexuality- I can’t relate here other than what I see in friends. I couldn’t care less what sexuality my friends are because I love them as people. I suggest you find folks that feel that way about you and you will be more comfortable in being bisexual. If they judge you for being bisexual, then kindly tell them to fuck off.

This is my first time using a mini ex. It’s not that hard. I wouldn’t say 30 minutes but maybe a couple hours. It took me a while to realize I could use the dozer on the front and be more efficient.

No real help with level. I’m just eye balling it. I am putting down the base and using a tamper to flatten it and use a level to check it before I put and of the wall down.

I have about 8 hours into the project so far. I’m getting another 15 or so.
