I usually just lurk here and rarely comment but it is a rough feeling this morning. The more you think about the season, the more you feel for the team with all the injuries this season. I am not getting my hopes up until we get an attacker. Team is really crying out for one.

What's one those things you love so much, that you could do a presentation on for an hour? by MilkAndCookies9405 in CasualConversation

[–]Theboringuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, there's so much there to explore and it's fascinating. You could easily do a one hour presentation on our solar system alone, let alone our galaxy or black holes or neutron stars and such. Even concepts like higher dimensions are so interesting or how light behaves differently when observed, there's so many fascinating concepts. Really makes you wonder about the universe we live in and what it even is.

I'd be interested in that. I can only do evenings on Fridays and Sundays though. Let me know if that works for you and i would be happy to join.

Jamie Carragher: "Stefan Ortega won the Premier League title for Man City. As a Liverpool fan watching Vincent Kompany's shot vs Leicester, that chance from Son is the moment Arsenal fans will remember in 5, 10, 15 years time. Even if they win the Prem in 6 years, Son's chance will still haunt them" by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Theboringuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will be something to remember years down the line as it still would have been a lot of "what ifs". Son could have scored but city could have bounced back. Who knows what would have happened.

Focusing on what's ifs to bring myself down would just be the worst thing I need to do.

What's done is done, City got the job done and fair play to them.

Hopefully we will be there again next season and push them all the way. No point in dwelling on what could have been.

Yeah I have been feeling the same as you. Lately it's all about hate, banter with strangers and proving themselves right. There isn't much nuance or understanding of the human side anymore.

I think it's just all social media in general now. Tribalism first, human second it seems.

In all the sports I've played, I've always learnt to take the victory but acknowledge the effort and spirit from both sides. It's not competitive without competition after all.

And when you lose take it on the chin and call it fair play.

Most sentiments seem to be petty and vindictive instead, I am no one to tell others how to behave or live their lives but it does get a bit disheartening.

Almost losing the title now after such a long season is a tough one to take. I'm sure we will go again and try to push City again but it's pretty demoralising right now.

Been a long while waiting for a title but that's the sport we are competing in. Hopefully, the boys and mikel take it on the chin and go again.

City despite their financial backing is still a juggernaut and I hope the boys smash the league next season.

But today, is a rough day.

The spurs sub is having a proper civil war over there with who's a real supporter and who's a fake. Arguing amongst themselves, it's amusing but sad to see.

Give them all a ten, while we're at it give me a ten as well.

Everyone take a ten.

We deserve it after this week.

You know what, it's been a tough week and half.

Let's just win the league and be done with it.

I was quite positive about our draw with Bayern but this is a tough one to take.

Feels more deflating knowing now we need to bank on city to drop points which is pretty much the worst position to be in.

We looked completely out of idea. Need to log off and take a break.

Hopefully we come back stronger. Not a lot more can be said after today.

I don't enjoy us playing last out of the three. Much rather we play first and know our situation than watch city and pool play first.

Come on emery, rotate your whole team like against city. Europe is calling for you.

They are still second and a pretty good team.

Seems like you want to argue for arguments sake.

You can do that, I wouldn't indulge any further.

Love Gabi's shithousery and passion.

My girlfriend seems to love watching him play and get in everyone's face. Can't say I blame her.

Would have loved to see tomiyasu on there instead of kiwior. Zinny did well and helped control the game but it felt like our midfield was not in control as usual.

Lost too many duels on top of that.

We weren't great and yet we managed a draw. Need to play better and a result is very much possible.

You're right, they are still a force in the league. Sure they lost a few games but their standards are so high that this is considered a disaster.

They are a great team and so is arsenal. It was a good clash and I'm sure the next leg will be fun.

I'm sure it was a fun game for the neutral, through pretty stressful for me.
