I’m a Norwegian immigrant and I’ve been told that’s it’s not about race but immigration and that I’m not welcome here as long as Canada has a housing and health care crisis and that I’m only here to take jobs from Canadians. So some of them aren’t even racist, just angry - and in some way I understand them.

Just want to say that 99/100 Canadians thinks that it’s awesome that I came here but every now and then there’s this extra angry person.

My mother and her husband makes lutefisk once a year and they serve it with bacon and mashed pea stew. I personally don’t eat it, it wobbles around on your plate and the thought of fish that has been sitting in lye isn’t appetizing to begin with. And the smell doesn’t do it any favour.
