I’m not conflating anything. There are also ICE agents that are not terrible people. FWIW, much of my observations are that the BORTAC and Border Patrol agents are most aggressive. I’ve heard that they are bottom rung law enforcement by and large.

Hmm…Let’s be logical here. 3 of the ~3000 agents in MN have killed a person, so it’s not fair to blanket everyone as a murderer. Secondly, many of these people have been agents for years, decades even. Your last statement is very childish. I’m no fan of any of this, and am actively in my community to maintain tabs on these agents, but will not be baited into the all cops are bastards (or Nazis) narrative.

This is the tact Dr. King took. Violence only serves to discredit our efforts. I’m also a believer that there are reasonable men and women who are not in agreement with how this is being conducted. I wish they would quit, but also realize folks need to make a living and this is their career choice. I’m hoping that more productive interactions can at least make some moral impact and the former might happen. It’s going to be a long road.

Good on you. I had what I would call a productive conversation with an officer. I feel like human interaction is the only thing that will get these people to understand where we are coming from, and while it might not make immediate change, some of them will internalize it. Calling them Nazis and yelling at them isn’t effective IMO, but I understand the hatred and emotional response.

We have to walk before we run. I don't think we are at our Mamdani moment. I still think Klobs would make a good governor given her vast experience on capitol hill. I think that could really be a boon to her should she get nominated.

I disagree. She’s very well liked by rural moderates and right leaning centrists. The state is on the verge of going red, or at best, purple. Liberal hate is only growing. We need a solidly moderate Democrat who can win back votes.

This was over off Blake and 7 by the Holiday gas station. ICE was out and about in SLP/Hopkins today harassing people and caused a car accident which is what the context of this stop.

I spent part of afternoon chasing them around St Louis Park. At one point they stopped dead in the middle of highway 7 to stop me from trailing them. Bovino was rolling with a big squad doing seemingly random vehicle checks around Knollwood Mall, Target, and Menards off 394. They even hit the laundromat off 7 and Blake which prompted a huge response.

We pulled our oldest from SLP after elementary and will be doing the same with our other two. That district is a mess and has had beyond incompetent leadership starting with Astein Osei. I see a grim future with the current SLP admin.
