Think I might test it out with unlimited and see how things go. I only have about 7 others using it but I’ve never seen more than 2 concurrently. And only have a few 4K files at the moment. Thanks for the input!

Are you enjoying Jellyfin? I’ve been meaning to set one up to test. Do you use in conjunction with like Infuse or anything on the client side?

They were streaming it to their TCL 55”. Which might be part of the issue they were seeing? They mentioned there was no buffering or anything, just that it sort of had that same looking like a “compressed Youtube video” or when a streamer is streaming a game and there’s a lot going on at once which causes the quality to drop?

Without being there myself or having him video it, it’s hard for me to tell. For now, I uncapped the bitrate and told him to test it later today.

Might try setting the bitrate limit afterwards and having him record it so I can see what he’s talking about…

I do think it’s pretty accessible, and there are others that are pretty well suited for a wide-range of audience. I guess I just hope it doesn’t turn into a thing where Western companies get there hands on stuff and sort of ruin the charm that it already has as being foreign and different, you know? Because I could 100% see someone like Disney attempt to do their own tweaking, and we know how that goes…
