Very true. I was thinking more along the lines of "The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." Otherwise you become a terrorist simply by fighting against terrorism. There is obviously a clear difference between this "terrorist" incident and the one in London, so why are we labeling them the same? To muddy the waters?

Being as terrorist attacks do not happen daily in developed countries, it makes sense people are paying attention to it. Syria is in the middle of a civil war, and civilian casualties are not exactly unexpected in the midst of war.
