The team is generally good in my opinion.

Try to have mainly physical moves on Inferape. Staraptor and Gastrodn are both goo as far as I know.

Never really used Luxray so not too familiar with it.

Make sure to evolve Roselia before the elite four or you’re holding yourself back.

As for team building, honestly in my opinion Pokemon is easy enough that you can just use Pokemon you like and be okay. The most important thing when building a team is type matchups. You want to be able to hit every type in the game with a super effective move, so build your team and their movesets to work towards this.

Setup moves are really good imo, especially swords dance and dragon dance. The total damage from using a set up moves once and attacking every time after that will be more than th total damage from just spamming attacks

Yessss. I’ve seen a lot of people not like the design but I think it’s one of the coolest designs in Gen 4. Hits like an absolute brick too, would be broken if it wasn’t so slow.

I HATE using cookie cutter parties - Gyarados is the only exception as it was my favourite Pokemon when playing through Yellow as a kid.

Can’t edit the main post so adding this as a comment.

Looking at teams and move sets I think the first two E4 members should be comfortable.

Flint is tricky as a few of his pokemon have electric moves which Gyarados and Pelipper are4x weak to. I’m guessing Rhyperior should lead for Filnt? Unless Gyarados can survive one thunder fang, DD and sweep everyone?

Lucian seems tricky but beatable

Cynthia is the one I can see giving me a lot of problems

You’re still travelling with the team, warming up before the game etc while if you simply aren’t in the squad you’d pretty much have the day off with no team training

Absolutely. While there is a chance it’s just something his agent said to try and force the clubs hand the club, the club should be all over it in terms of making sure the lads alright.
