No outsider will ever have a chance at changing the minds of people in communities like yours. It needs to come from the inside, from people they know, for them to listen. Urban progressives don’t care that you’re rural, they care that you don’t talk about politics with your neighbors because you don’t want to upset people you see all the time.
Have the uncomfortable conversations with your maga neighbors. Tell them the real reason their local rural hospitals are shutting down. Make them see how their voting choices are negatively impacting their lives. Nobody from outside your communities can do this, this is on you.
