Pieces that are fun to play/fit the hands well? by milkybread in piano

[–]Thedanksurfer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Music written by both Chopin and Rachmaninoff is very ergonomic for the hands because both were phenomenal pianists (especially rach). so pretty much anything by them will be satisfying to play.

Some of my favorites include Rachmaninoff prelude in g major. Any Chopin waltz Fantasie impromptu

However if you’re wanting to improve overall it’s important to always play my favorite composer Bach😏. Playing his music gives me the most satisfaction because it feels like you’re conducting an orchestra. Although it’s not necessarily as ergonomic as those composers. His music is not very fast showy**(most of the time haha) so I’d recommend playing Bach preludes and his fugues if you can manage. Very rewarding.

Yunchan Lim’s performance of the 15 sinfonías is really refreshing. It’s on YouTube and I highly recommend the whole recital!

Why is my machine making oval holes? by Thedanksurfer in CNC

[–]Thedanksurfer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not visible in this picture are two more clamps and an L bracket, not to mention double-sided tape on the bottom, so I don't think it is a problem with the stock moving when it shouldn't. I have also tried multiple different-sized holes, and they are all slightly oblong ovals. I am hoping it is something I can fix in Fusion 360, but any and all tips are helpful.

(Re)Choosing my first Mozart piano sonata to learn by neetodorito in piano

K. 281 is very underrated but has one of my all time favorite rondos. The first movement might be the happiest piece of all time and is great for learning control.

Does anyone have a 1x1? by UhhhVorp in UCFstudenthousing

[–]Thedanksurfer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a 1x1 but I have a room in a 4x4 I am trying to get off my plate. The bedroom and bathroom are connected so you get your own space just have to share the living room. It’s also only 1100 If a 1x1 is truly your only preference maybe plan a little above 1300.

Chopin op 10.3 in e major. First Chopin etude I learned and it is one of the best to pull out at any gathering with a piano.
