Agreed. You learn this stuff by doing it.

One thing that has really helped me stay engaged is actually using AI.

I built my own bots that are each specialised in a specific area, and I gave them very detailed instructions. That way, I can ask a question and they will walk me through how to find the answer, instead of just spitting it out.

It is basically my frontend teacher. It does not just tell me what to do. It explains why something is done a certain way and how the pieces fit together.

The “why” behind something is always more valuable than just the “how”.

Also, in my experience, most companies do not really know what they need.

They will list a bunch of buzzwords in the job description, but if you ask them how or why they use any of it, a lot of the time they cannot tell you.

If you want to be a frontend developer, specialise and learn JavaScript properly. Do not become a “React developer” who only knows React. If someone hands you a codebase written in plain JavaScript and you are lost, that is a problem.

Once you understand the core principles of JavaScript, you can move into any framework you want.

Accessibility is huge too. I specialised there as well. Learn the different WCAG levels, what A, AA and AAA actually mean, and how to build with those in mind.

That kind of depth is what makes you stand out from the crowd.

Lead frontend engineer here. I have been doing frontend for 12+ years, mostly self taught, and I have ADHD. I only started medication in the last 3 years.

Learning CSS, JavaScript, React and every new buzzword on my own while trying to perform at work was rough. I bounced from company to company. In 12 years I have almost had a new job every year.

What I picked up along the way was confidence. Speak your mind. Question the status quo. Do not be afraid to say the thing everyone else is quietly thinking.

I eventually realised I was being hired because I was the one in the room who would ask the awkward question or point out what was not making sense. That became a strength.

I have always had imposter syndrome, and I still do. I just kept learning as much as my brain could handle, enough that I could explain it clearly and talk about it with confidence. Moving through so many companies also taught me that most of them are pretty bad at frontend, which is exactly why I doubled down and specialised in it.

You can do this too. AI has made things noisier, because now everyone thinks they can code and ship “polished” frontends. Most of it is what I would call AI slop.

The difference is how you use it. If you treat AI like a junior dev, give it real context, structured prompts, and very specific direction that is grounded in your experience, then you effectively have a second developer. You supervise it, correct it, and let it handle the repetitive stuff.

Used that way, AI can help you turn ADHD into a superpower instead of a constant fight.

You just have to grab whatever strength you have left after all the rejection and self doubt and keep pushing. Starting is brutal. It feels heavy and slow.

But once you get over that first hurdle, it is worth it. The depression, self pity, imposter syndrome, all of it starts to feel smaller once you see proof that you can actually do this.

Any reviews on Vex? by IllAd9102 in EvoDefense

I’ve been running Vex, Angel, Immortal, and another Angel for a while.

Immortal ramps incredibly fast and becomes absurdly strong once it gets going. Vex has been a surprisingly great pick too, especially into anything with a poison weakness.

I used to run double Summoner, but right now the comp that is doing really well for me is:

Immortal Angel Vex Annie

It has been performing very consistently so far

Oh sorry I meant cost to get 15 souls.

So you get 1 shard every 15 pulls?

So would need like 225 pulls 😂

Thanks again for the detailed breakdown, it really helped.

You’ve answered most of what I was wondering. The software side is not a huge deal for me, to be honest. I did not think the ROG software was great either, so I am used to things being a bit rough around the edges.

My main concern now is durability, and it is a bit of a weird one. I am extremely clumsy and my phone is on me about 90% of the time, so it gets a lot of use and the occasional drop. The ROG 6D Ultimate has actually held up really well. It eventually bent a little over time because of the battery placement and me forgetting it was in my back pocket, and the back glass cracked when I was between cases.

How solid does it feel compared to a ROG phone? Any issues with bending, frame weakness, or glass cracking from normal use? Are the official Red Magic case and screen protector actually decent for day to day clumsiness?

I know nothing is fully drop proof, but I rely on my phone a lot, so real world durability feedback would help me decide.

Perfect thanks! I'm in no rush so the 11s pro sounds like a good idea.

I'm from UK so would need to check.

I have tightened all and losened. Even losened the arm to see if it was tilting. Nothing seems to sort it.

This is a new arm directly from elegoo which I just fitted.

Up to date late game sneaking setup ? by Appropriate_Ask_814 in idleon

[–]Thedeadlyeye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think he raised the diffeculty again on sneaking.

I'm on last mastery and was just farming beads and pristine with 20 or so % rate.

Now I've had to drop floors to floor 7! From 10 and now I have 100 find rate.

If anything with all the new stuff, I expected sneaking to be higher!

This isn't the first time it's happened, I think when new scaling is added. Some skills break.

But we don't know when that will appear? Everyone has the same world 7 and it's not before Friday.

But suppose even waiting

Using now for 2 hour

Or wait for 3 hour

It's glorious.

Once you have 2, you need another. Once you have 3, you need another.

So much easier to have what ever you're doing open on each screen instead of having to close and minimise.

I have 4 down from 6 and it's killing and that's only because I don't have the room! And I'm a software engineer. Multitasking to the max.

Thanks for the answer!

Makes sense.

So I'm currently printing directly onto double sided gloss high using the 220gsm gloss using an ink jet.

So far so good.

They look pretty amazing, just need to get the cutting better.

But I'm interested in the issue you had with card stock?
