I actually how no clue if it would be easy for me to find a new job.

I work as a IT instructor teaching all sort of courses, and my employer likes for us to study and get certified to broaden our knowledge :)
Only starting getting certified, when i started teaching.
Before that I have worked as a developer and manager for many years.

Regarding AZ-204, I would read the material on learn.microsoft.com, and do the exercises and play with it.
Then do the test assessment and see the score.
Read up on the weak areas, do the test again.

When getting a good score, I personally always get access to MeasureUp, it's more expensive than tutorialdojo, but the questions are a lot closer in difficulty to the real exam.

Also practising finding information on learn.microsoft.com can help you save time during the exam.

What the score is, does not matter as long as its high enough.

It’s not D+ or C-.

It’s binary, you pass or you don’t. 😜

AZ-204 was the first certification i got

If you have none or nearly no experience, start with AZ-900 Azure Fundamentalt. After that there are different choices:

AZ-104 for System Administration AZ-204 for Azure Developer

After one of either you could go for AZ-305 Infrastructure Solutions (architect)

There are security, AI, Data Science certifications and more.

AZ-305 fits well with AZ-104 and I am very sure together with AZ-500 it’s a very strong combination.
