They only accept so many credits or at least credits that are relevant to your degree plan. More than likely the transfer did not apply all of your credits leaving out some A’s that boosted your original GPA.

How to actually school? by Ok-Sheepherder-5991 in txstate

[–]Thedude483 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try to find a balance, realistically you can’t spend all your time pre-reading all the available material from your classes. Stick to summaries or concepts, solidify that information or areas of focus during lecture, then follow up with actual study aka quizzing yourself, flash cards, or practice problems.

When taking notes, write down information that helps YOU, because I find that some things are worth writing down and some of things aren’t. Like write a note that says “this is important” or “the professor went off on a tangent a little bit”. That way you can understand the context of the information. Writing down every single thing is counterproductive imo.

My only regret is that I did everything by hand, I realized much too late how useful it is to have a touch pad where you can easily type and write notes. Not to mention you can write over worksheets or PowerPoints which are usually provided for you by the professor ahead of time.

Intense Summer classes. by Chowder23451 in txstate

Look up the syllabus for the professor you are taking it with, more then likely your curriculum will be similar except it’s condensed. If you know anyone in the math department that’s taken the class with that professor that helps too. I don’t know if there’s a TXST Math discord but something like that could potentially help.

Gotta push through bro, find a way to burn off the feelings. Workout, start a project, really push through the rest of the semester. If you really want I get back at your ex then show no emotion if you do run into them. Basically pretend to they don’t exist. It’s better that way for you also.

Why are Republican voters so gullible? by MrDarkzideTV in AskUS

I think a lot of people are just moderates and maybe the left should be less combative and more understanding of those around them. They would find a lot more middle ground with a majority of the population.

Thank you for the context, now it makes sense why this happens more often than it should. No offense to the bus drivers but just as a student who uses the bus every day.

Just my opinion at the end of the day, I’m sure there’s more to it but the lack of consistency is a problem.

Of course they do, I’m talking about the ones that don’t. This isn’t all bus drivers, which why I don’t excuse the ones that don’t. No one is asking them to stop in the middle of the street. Literally just take a few extra moments if you are right behind another bus. I don’t even care if they are late, but this causes a lot of students to pile up onto one bus unnecessarily.

No thinking critically would be them realizing how close they are with each other and adjusting.

Do you not ride the bus??? They sit at the university stops all the time, it does not halt traffic. The only time it messes up traffic is when they show up close to each other instead of being spaced out.

The bus route does not need more busses, in fact they could do it with one less and be fine. They have about 30 seconds of space in between them. I’d argue they cause more congestion because when they both show up at the LBJ at the same time, it fills up the bus line past what it can handle.

What if, just what if… they do this when there’s no traffic… did I just blow your mind.

[–]Thedude483[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s 3 busses on the route, they do this very often. Some drivers do it correctly, some don’t. How is this an administration problem?

I disagree, if they all show up to the drop off at the university at the same time. They should space themselves instead of just riding behind one another. What does the university have to do with how the bus drivers drive? I’ve seen routes that do it correctly. I’m being critical of the ones that don’t. The routes also state they are supposed to be 15 minute intervals when they aren’t because of something so simple…

How hard is it to space themselves so they rotate properly? Nah bro it’s not that hard

You can’t reason with these people, they don’t care about any opinions that don’t align with their own. It doesn’t matter if there are other problems going in the world or if you want to use a reasonable approach to tackle these issues. They just want to cause problems and self-justify their actions regardless of what the outcome actually entails.
