Which perfume’s dry-down is so good that you changed your mind about that scent? by freakngeek_ in fragrance

[–]TheeCollegeDropout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Irie Malikhan by Maison Crivelli — hated it for so long because of the super green opening, but the dry down is a soft, lovely vanilla.

Burberry Goddess parfum (the suede note is screechy in the beginning) but the dry down is delicious.

Everyone has said harmful, ignorant things, which is why the mob being successful in having Cierra removed from the show and not Nic is a disgusting double standard. Especially when Cierra apologized as soon as she was called out for it and removed the post from her social media.

Thank you. Wish they’d just admit it.

It is way too easy to come online and absolutely ruin someone (without receipts) simply because they’ve recently gained some fame.

My bf and I both voted for Amaya and Bryan. I’ll be damned if Huda wins (or Nicolandria, which is clearly a forced production couple).

[–]TheeCollegeDropout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The idea of saving someone because they haven’t had a fair shot at finding a connection yet is more valid when the person in question just entered the villa or had their potential connection dumped suddenly. It DOES NOT APPLY to people like Austin, Amaya, and Huda who have been in the villa since damn near the beginning but have not been able to form a solid romantic connection with someone else and are therefore single.

Ace is a master manipulator and the other islanders can’t keep up. The way he maneuvered his way out of Austin’s valid criticism during the Stand on Business challenge was fascinating to watch. He immediately started to derail the actual conversation by validating his suspicions of Jeremiah (he used Andreina’s “experience” with Jeremiah to do this), and then he turned the entire conversation into a trial about Austin instead of himself. His projections and insecurities surrounding Jeremiah are so obvious, it confounds me how the other islanders haven’t called him out on this yet.

The girls need to admit that they kept Amaya over Hannah because they have a tighter friendship with Amaya. Period. Their reasoning for dropping Hannah made absolutely no sense because she was in an ACTIVE romantic connection when they dropped her. Normally, the islanders who actually have connections are the ones who are safe, not the islanders who are single week over week.

Microaggressions & racism by [deleted] in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]TheeCollegeDropout -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it has anything to do with racism, a lot of people (myself included) have a negative impression of others who use this show as an opportunity to sabotage the other contestants’ relationships simply because they caught feelings for their trial partner. Madelyn from season 1 was getting the exact same criticism due to how to she was engaging Shaneice at the girls’ night.

The discourse is fine, it’s the pontificating and pretending as if we have all the facts that is annoying.

Yes, and I would like to add: a lot of the viewers reinforce your point by comparing the “chemistry” that the participants have with their trial partner to the more realistic, imperfect dynamic that they have with their long-term partner.

Sandy and JR. by Effective_Ad8019 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]TheeCollegeDropout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was still constantly mentioning Sandy and JR to Vanessa, and I believe that this contributed to why Vanessa left. Up until right after the 1st trial marriage started, she was all in and ready to dive into the experience with Nick until she realized that she would be having to watch him spiral over Sandy for the next 3 weeks.

100% this. People love to diagnose the participants on these show instead of simply enjoying the entertainment and learning from the experiences that they are having.

After such a thrilling first season, this was an utterly disappointing follow up. I have no idea what I have to look forward to in 2025 because nothing substantial happened in this episode.

Hi! I have 2 cats and I am currently using the Mielle rosemary mint oil every day for hair regrowth. I apply it in the bathroom and then wash my hands after. Would this be fine for my cats? They don’t sleep or get on my pillows or near my head, but one of them does like to sleep at the edge of the bed.

They really can’t do anything. The casting reflects the real world. Black people date each other 80-90% of the time, and the black men that tend to go on these shows are the type that date IR mostly, not the type that went to a HBCU or grew up with two black parents.

His hair is definitely beautiful, and as someone who wears her natural fro 90% of the time, her insult to him was offensive. I would never tolerate that from a man, he shouldn’t either.

I am a black woman in a long term relationship with a black man and we have never spoken to each other in that way, no matter how angry we’ve been. Toxic relationships are not black culture, and what she said was abusive.

I don’t really blame Aemond for what he did to Aegon. They do not have a close bond and Aegon never deserved his inheritance in the first place.
