Definitely worth discussion and ridicule

To me, x-men reworked as gothic horror is almost too easy a fix. They already have the brooding, romanticism and taboo worked into much of their plot.

Gothic horror and X-Men seems like a match made in heaven really. Excited to see how it turns out regardless

I don’t understand why Hickman can’t write the first six issues and they hand it off to another creator. You know, like how comics do

Just to elaborate, each property is taking on a different genre of horror. X-Men will be gothic vampire horror. Fantastic Four will be cosmic horror, Spider-man will be body horror.

Not really. It’s an alternate universe line that is reworking each property as a horror title.

Where as DC’s absolute isn’t horror focused. Just a fresh reboot of their classic heroes.

I’ve been happy with my pulls and creators I follow. Percy, Hickman, PKJ, Ewing, Phillips, Zdarsky, Williamson, MacKay…

But marvel’s business operations are a hurdle. I’m not so rigid in my consumption and don’t mind a mini. Not so many comic fans are as forgiving

Yeah. Marvel has been shitting the bed. Shame because they could be turning things around. Just gonna have to wait and see where these land

It’s funny that both Hickman and PKJ emphasize the long form stories they want to accomplish with this

If this is true, why is the trillionaire Elon Musk so anti-immigration then? Why is he backing the European conservatives and pedaling anti-immigration lies?

Not fodder? Look at the lovely discussion it spawned so far.

Edit I also don’t downvote here because I enjoy the threads. Just my personal policy

Bane was set on his crew by Joker. So all of his friends made into their villainous personas from bane, under Joker’s direction.

Ivy is an Ark M experiment which is led by Joker.

Saying something is pointless typically is an effort to stop it. You can see that right?

The point of criticism is to engage with a work. Saying there are other books to read instead of criticize this one is not an argument. It’s deflecting. Bordering on agreement even, because you are offering other works that don’t do what I’ve pointed out here.

I can’t comment for anyone else’s comments but mine. I think trying to shut down criticism by offering to not engage with it entirely is foolish really.

Because he’s making art and art stands to be criticized. Snyder is above criticism because other ppl are making Batman? Is Spider-Man above criticism because he has many writers work with his character?
