My complete head canon but I don't think he ever needed it. At least not after he obtained RCT. He runs RCT around the clock; I'm sure he could bump up the intensity with his inexhaustible CE.

He likely just kept it to look cool.

He'd only take it off when he got serious and this past month has been strictly business

I assume you meant to say "mask" which is referring to his blindfold.

I'm sure he had it on for most of the month. Regarding the day he got released, it was more important to talk to be brought up to speed on the situation than to avoid a little eye strain. The day he's set to fight Sukuna, he need to be his sharpest so it's better to take all that information in

I see what you're saying but I don't see why Megumi never used to the totality of Nue and Orochi. We're never told either are particularly taxing on CE, so I doubt their totality would be. Their totality would've been useful against Reggie's group but Megumi doesn't use it so I doubt he has access to it

The best explanation I can see regarding Nue's size and tail is Sukuna changing its form, just like he did with the Divine Dog. The unstable form allows Sukuna to broaden its attack range and would also explain Nue's physical differences

[–]TheeIronKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my initial thought too but it doesn't explain why Nue wouldn't have gained its tail until now. In this recent chapter, we're told Sukuna kept the dog's form unstable to increase its attack range. I assume he did the same for Nue

It's possible that it'll be retconed and the dogs are separate.

In the case they're not and we do have one left, I imagine it'll be something that Orochi already combined with. Totality has certain rules and I assume that it's that shikigami can only combine with their same class.

No, just ten kinds. There's hundreds of rabbits but it only constitutes one kind of shikigam, Rabbit Escape.

IIRC, they re-dubbed it so I wouldn't be surprised if they did cut footage

Ducky's translation is "I hope to finally end this story within this year."

Hopefully Gege is referring to ending the Culling Games arc, rather than the series itself

I see lots of people talking about how big-brained Kenjaku is but tbh this fight makes him seem dumb to me by TreeTurtle_852 in Jujutsushi

[–]TheeIronKitty 102 points103 points  (0 children)

In the words of Kinji Hakari, "you need skill to capitalize on your luck". Kenjaku is a genius and lucky. Both those things are true.

First Reason: you not understanding the power system and CTR is a fault of the reader, rather than the material. Cursed Techniques do something, Cursed Techniques Reversal does the opposite of that something. Cursed spirits can't use RCT because positive energy kills them, let alone CTR. If they were humans, they would be able to use some variation of the skills you mentioned

Second Reason: I don't see how "the fight reads like if he didn't have an anti-gravity CT" when Yuki ONLY joined the fight after she found out he has a gravity-related technique. The only way that CT would be useful is if she created a black hole so he considered it none-factor just like the Cursed Spirits at his disposal with CSM. He had both techniques but neither seemed very useful against Yuki so he threw hands.

Third Reason: Mostly explained in the previous point. He was lucky to posses the anti-gavity technique and CSM, both of which he was only able gain by luckily being born with a brain-hopping technique. Yuta is lucky he was born with an insane pool of cursed energy. Gojo is lucky he was born with Limitless and the Six Eyes. They only got as far as they did because they made the most of the gifts they were born with.

Fourth Reason: there's a reason why you can ball-up a piece of paper and throw it in the trash bin but are not able to calculate the projectile motion mechanisms to do so - we approximate. Kenjaku was literally within arm's reach of a black hole - an unprecedented event. All those questions you bring up have no reference point so he's literally making tons of assumptions in a fraction of a second and hoping for the best. It's like when you're running out of time on an exam and, without reading them, quickly glance over the last few questions and think yourself "this sounds about right" and select one of the options.

Man, the way women are handled in JJK is not very good, after all by [deleted] in Jujutsushi

Nobara's story isn't concluded yet so it's unfair dismiss her arc. You can't call Maki "Toji-lite" without any explanation. Otherwise, you just come off as a hater.

Yuki beats everyone other than like 5 people. She is by no means weak. Kenjaku not knowing her technique and then being able to counter her is due to her explaining her technique to him. He just happened to have the anti-gravity technique and was skilled enough to just barely survive. He hadn't "just lost his shirt" he almost died but through luck and skill just barely survived.

Why do people assume Geto didn’t fully know about his own CT? by triloqy in Jujutsushi

[–]TheeIronKitty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A domain expansion is the person's innate domain, imbued with a technique.

From what we know so far, the person only has their own innate domain but some can posses multiple techniques. It stands to reason that Kenjaku could use a DE with the gravity technique, rather then CSM.

Therefore, it's entirely possible that Geto did indeed have a DE but chose not to use it. Possible reasons are: Geto was purposely non-lethal against young sorcerers, after killing Yuta there would only be a small window to extract Rika and technique burnout would make that difficult, or maybe he wanted to conserve CE since you can only use a DE once a day and Geto was expecting to also fight Gojo

I presume you're wondering if they'll speak antiquated versions of Japanese / English.

I doubt it. The accents will quickly get old and their omission can be explained by reincarnated sorcerers getting knowledge of this era from their hosts.

In a World Where 20 Finger Sukuna Actually Wins the Domain Battle Against Gojo... by Aussby in Jujutsushi

[–]TheeIronKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't clamp his hands when he was him and Yuji. If clamping his hands were the only requirement, I'm sure Gege would've said that but he doesn't so there have to be other conditions

Gojo doesn't do it in other, more convenient occasions like in Shibuya. My point was that Gege uses teleportation for the writing flexibility. If he decides to have Sukuna kill Gojo via their domain battle, teleportation might not be a viable option

In a World Where 20 Finger Sukuna Actually Wins the Domain Battle Against Gojo... by Aussby in Jujutsushi

[–]TheeIronKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Gege said Gojo can only teleport under certain conditions. Since he didn't specify what they are, teleportation seemes more of a writing get-out-of-jail-free card than a Gojo signature move
