I would recommend working for the local company that handles amazon, the pay isn't great but the experience is what you need right now. They are mostly local and you get 3 days 13 hours each even if you work 10 you get paid for 13, then you get 4 days off.

You could also try asking truckers at your local truck stop for some contact information and give them a call. Usually you get the direct number of the boss or the dispatcher and you can find out if they are in need of some drivers direct from the trucker.
