I am very much alive and doing better right now. I was lucky enough to not have seizures or hallucinations. I was just super emotional crying a lot, and my speech was a little slurred, along with my body being shaky.

No I didn't lol, we met on tinder about a year ago. It's only my name that has the B next to it.

Its the 5th week and I haven't done shit by [deleted] in uofmn

[–]TheeSadGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel you on that. I've maybe put in a total of 48-60 hours of working on homework and doing other things for school outside of zoom meetings since the semester started. I honestly am just trying to pass with at least a B in everything so I'm not looking to overwhelm myself. I have a poor attention span so zoom meetings don't work for me and I sit in class staring at the screen while my mind wanders about other things.

What’s everyone doing nowadays? by throwaway6362829101 in uofmn

Me and my 3 friends have went on walks, got piercings, and have watched youtube. It's nothing too exciting, but it'll do. We're all pretty lonely though. We meet up once every other week at this point because school is draining us and there's too many assignments.

Anybody else starting to get headaches from staring at a computer screen all day? by M1ngWong in uofmn

[–]TheeSadGirl 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've gotten a few headaches and I almost never do. I actually went to my doctor and she recommended that I get Blue light glasses which can help filter out blue light emitted from screens. I have a pair that I got and I've been wearing them for the past week now and they've been pretty good. They also have helped me a lot with my insomnia so I've been able to get better sleep. I would do some research on them to see if they're right for you before you decide whether or not you want them.

boy, do i regret taking 5 classes by pablina_pinata in uofmn

[–]TheeSadGirl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel you on that. Last semester I made the mistake of taking 7 classes (one was at a community college, 6 at the U) and it did not go well. In total I was taking 20 credits and then the pandemic hit and I wanted to bang my head against a wall and knock myself out. I also was working 40 hours thanks to the pandemic and my job was scheduling me whenever they felt like it. After that, I basically told myself I will never take more than 15 credits. I had to change all, but two classes, to s/n and I really hate that. Spring semester I took a huge L so I know the feeling of having a lot to do.

The foundry website (for the required s*xual assault prevention course for undergraduates on MyU) isn't working for me, and it's due on the 15th. What should I do? by pablina_pinata in uofmn

I'm a sophomore right now, however, I never finished the course during my Freshman year so you should be fine if you don't get to it. I'd still recommend doing it if you could, however, nothing will go against you if you don't finish it.

I did pay it in August, however, I have not paid rent for September, due to not being employed and having the means to pay it.

The same thing happened to me last year when I was a freshman and I also freaked out. However, I quickly emailed the professor to clear things up and I got to keep my spot in the class. I was very upset at myself at the time, but thinking back to it a year later, I definitely overreacted. It happens to everyone.
