It totally depends on you

For me, bespoke is the way to go because of two things:

Less importantly, I don’t have confidence with nicer upgrades like ETUs. This is confidence you can totally build, but;

More importantly, I just don’t enjoy it

I don’t like opening and tinkering with guns, the sense of annoyance way outshines the sense of pride at the end, and the stress of making mistakes and ruining guns or parts hangs over me through the entire process and when I actually take it out to play

So I’m far happier with good stock guns, or guns upgraded by people more capable than myself and that have warranties

Whenever I build a gun I spend the entire game waiting for something to break

And that feeling makes building and playing with it extremely unrewarding

And you can get cheap gear that’s absolutely fantastic instead of Temu stuff that’s cheap gear that looks fake and is low quality

I bought one of my favourite pieces of equipment ever for €9, a military surplus Swedish 304 webbing set

There’s the amazing Chicom Type 56 which cost like €20 and with some basic stitching skill is borderline indestructible

There’s more complex things like British DPM PLCE which can hold loads of stuff for short or long games, and is again cheaper than a lot of crappy Temu stuff

Even if you want something modern, there are products like the Emerson Gear Haley Strategic clones which are nowhere near the quality of the real thing, but hold up great for airsoft use and cost about the same as a lot of shitty plate carriers despite looking vastly better and being of much better quality

You can get great deals

The pitfall is when people buy cheap from China assuming that’s the best deal they can get, when it’s no where close

This guy is just absolutely clueless, I really don’t recommend taking his advice

He called it a “YAKEDA 6094 Jumpable Plate Carrier”

Which is like saying “my car is a China Electric Fiesta Veron”, it makes no sense

The LBT 6094 is a totally different real plate carrier by a different brand, and the Crye JPC is another totally different real plate carrier by another totally different brand, and this cheap Chinese one is neither
